Default GREEN THUMBS: how does your garden grow?

What are some wonderfully fragrant, yet hardy and easy-to-grow, flowers you'd recommend for perfumery? I'm in central Ohio, by the way.

Lavender and roses are the first ones that come to mind. I think they'll grow just about anywhere.

I think lavender is very easy to grow, so I agree with Doc Elly. You might also try sage and rosemary, though these are more herbs and less "flowers." (Both sage and rosemary do produce flowers...)
