Default Voyage en Mediterranee Labdanum de Seville by L'Occitane

Has anyone worn this EDP ? This sounds like a very good scent, but I have not delved into this house at all. I am phishing for opinions.......

I'm eager to try, love labdanum dominated scents. A question, is Labdanum de Seville part of a series called Voyage en Mediterranee?

It's not bad, I tried some on the other day. Nice polished labdanum with not much sillage or longevity.

Meh. It was OK, but I didn't think it was anything spectacular.

My husband has it on his hand right now; we stopped at L'Occitane today. He likes it quite a lot and is talking about getting himself a bottle. I thought I'd check first on here to see what other labdanum fragrances there are and discovered this thread.

A perfume friend sent me a mini of this and I like it very much! Unpretentious, as Arwen_Elf said, and very pleasant.

Parfumerie Generale's L'Oiseau de Nuit features labdanum. It's gorgeous, and quite different from the L'Occitane.

Thank you Haunani for the recommendation. I have been enjoying labdanum as of late due to Sanoma Scent Studio's use of the note. I shall have to sample these.

Wow, this one is certainly a pleasant surprise! The closest thing it compares to is Chergui. Love the simplicity here. Citrus, labdanum and benzoin. I have it on a test strip and it's been going strong all day - hopefully it will do the same on my body. I'm getting the 1/3oz - $10 travel size tomorrow.

Labdanum is my favourite note. In my mind i have a bulls-eye painted on a bottle of this.

A bit too 'girly' for me. And 'me' is someone who happily wears Shalimar, Mitsouko and Ambre Gris!

I received a sample of this from arwen_elf today. Thanks again Adriana!!!!!

I like it. Spicy citrus with labdanum and a woody vanilla base. The spice remains on me throughout and the entire fragrance is just the right volume.

I don't know if skin chemistry plays any part, but I get no "girlie" vibe from this at all. On me, it comes off as something anyone can wear.

    Anytime, Aromi

I don't find it girlie either. To me it is as girlie as Eau de Baux.

Aromi and Arwen: I might have to revisit it then. First impressions can be deceiving.

I originally went into L'Occitane seeking out Immortelle de Corse. I discovered Labdanum de SÚville and walked out with both. Both are definitely worth trying. I would suggest giving these scents more than a few minute chance. They develop considerately after about 30 minutes. What you might not like at first spray, you may love later.

I have the Cedre and love it. I can't find any of these in store or on L'Occitane's US website. I still see them for sale on the French website. They must not have been big sellers in the US. I'd like to try Labdanum.
Oriscent, AgarAura Pure Ouds, Creed, LIDGE, Patou Pour Homme, tons of niche and rare stuff for sale!
