Default Distractions from the wishlist ...

Is it just me ...... ? I seem to have a list of " things to buy wish list " permanently beside my computer .

During my travels through the various smelly blogs , youtube reviews and sites I find myself getting distracted from my wish list and adding a wayward fragrance here and there , ones that I never thought I wanted but I fancy getting to my wardrobe .

My wishlist never seems to get any smaller , it all just seems to get pushed back

Are you steel willed ? Do you stick to your wishlists or like me , just get all caught up and carried away in our fragrant journey

I sometimes really feel frustrated about my own lack of will. The wishlist gets longer, even as the wardrobe gets bigger. I've come to conclude that the "wishlist" is the "journey" = never-ending. ie. I manage to knock one off the list (while hopelessly succumbing to a couple of non-wishlist items along the way), and immediately add 2 more to the list.

Internet access is most responsible for enabling this.

Agreed- it's the internet's fault and the fact that I can read !
Pour Monsieur- sometimes yes, I feel like throwing caution to the wind. When I feel like that I check my bank balance and reality bites ! *LOL*

lists are only a temporary capture.
Our tastes and wants are evolving constantly.
Let "NOW" guide your wallet, not "then"

Of course, it's much easier once one has bought all of the "OMG MUST HAVE", and the list is mostly ancillary, and thankfully, that's where I;ve found myself today.

I've just been trying to trade decants and samples for things on my wishlist. 2.5ml at a time is a good fix until you can drop the cash on a full bottle. Get swapping!

As of late, I have been steely focused on the scents in my Wish List. I only allow myself to waver here and there, for 'free' decants that I get, but I haven't bought anything except scents on my wish list.

Why? I have no idea. I'm sure this is just a phase I'm going thru and it will soon pass.

My Wish List always changes/evolves. I've been seriously editing down my wardrobe to what I consider essentials. Right now I'd like to add Czech & Speake Frankincense & Myrrh, the original Chanel Pour Monsieur and Diptyque's Eau Lente - which, regrettably, I sold off a few years ago. Sure, there will always be distractions, but they are now being relegated to my Test List; a few full wearings and a major commitment are required before anything gets onto my Wish List.

So silly of me. Yes I do have a wishlist. Every single frag in my wishlist is quite expensive. What could get me one bottle from my wishlist can get me 3-4 other frags which means more different scents in my wardrobe. I can't seem to pursue my wishlist. If only I can control myself from getting the cheaper frags, I could have at least fulfilled some frags from my wishlist. What should I do? Stick to the wishlist, one bottle at a time? Or 3-4 bottles as oppose to 1?

Grows and grows, and what I want from it is a circle that enlarges constantly. I seem to share the unfortunate curse others have of a noticeable price-rise in my desires, too. I mean crickey, why do I want a JAR, of all lines to have a favorite fragrance from? There is only one bottle on my wish list right now under 100$, and more than one over 200$.

This is me. I find that often times some stuff sits in my wishlist long enough that I no longer want it.
