Right now, I would say my favorite is Nicolai pour Homme (but that could change).

    I also like:

    Patchouli Homme
    New York
    Maharadjah
    Vanille Tonka

I've tried their men's fragrances and although they didn't do much for me, certainly not enough to make me want to purchase any, Balle de Match, New York and L'eau Mixte were the 3 I'd prefer if I had to choose.

Balle de Match for me, but this one and many others from the line have probably been reformulated by now...

New York and, more recently, Nicolai Pour Homme.

Odalisque is an unusual and lovely chypre in a classic style (maketed as a femme but it's not overtly floral or 'difficult') but I believe this one has been reformulated.

Two that I love best as works of art: Le Temps d'Une Fête and Patchouli Homme
Two that I love best as companions: New York and Nicolai Pour Homme

And I have to say that I wd really regret not having Balle de Match, L'Eau Mixte and Odalisque, too. de Nicolai has a knack for making things that, for me anyway, both wear comfortably and remain interesting over many wearings.

    same here.

Maharadjah is the only one that's held my interest for more than a few weeks. I've owned New York, Odalisque, Maharani, Cologne Solange. Sometimes I feel their offerings are a bit too uptight/uptown/16th arr., for me. No disrespect to the house and the genius of Patricia de Nicolaï, of course.

I can't really pick a favorite. But if i had to, it would probably be Baladin.
Its unique -- I have never smelled anything quite like it.

I'm a huge fan of her Cologne Sologne, but then I'm so very fond of nerolis, especially in a traditional eau de cologne reference.

I was rather surprised by how good the new Eau Mixte is - it's got a more modern vibe to it, but nothing generic. The floral notes in the heart really did it for me - the rose is totally unisex, nothing reeking of potpourri or sachets.

I've never smelled any PdN. However, I've just ordered from luckyscent a couple of weeks ago, New York, just because it's one of Turin's top 10 masculines. So wish me luck. Hope I'll like it. hahahahaha

If you've ever smelled Creed Bois du Portugal, they are similar.

It's always a loss when a favorite is messed with but I think I actually prefer the reformulation of this one. Slightly less foody, a bit more transparent, and a really well done rosemary note.

I have actually smelled Bois du Portugal from my colleague only once and I did like it when I first smelled it. But that was a long time ago so I don't remember what it smelled like. But the fact that I did like what I smelled with BdP, I guess I won't be disappointed with New York. My colleague is also a fume head. He's got a pretty nice wardrobe.

This is an interesting take and I certainly don't read it as a negative comment - maybe PdN is more Charvet shirt than a Yohji, Margiela or the deconstructed CdG look etc. There is something a of reigned in classicism, even with the two or three orientals, that can feel reassuring some days OR a bit too low key others. One thing PdN is not is cute or gimmicky, and that suits me fine.

I'd like to mention one that is not listed here, but is IMO the best of the line, a leather chypre for both genders:

    Vie de Chateau.

The others I'd recommend to a man are:

    Pour Homme
    Baladin
    Patchouli PH
    Eau Mixte
    New York

    My faves to wear are:

    Vie de Chateau
    Jardin Secret
    Number One
    Odalisque

The only one I found to be almost bottle-worthy was Cologne Sologne, but it's so short-lived that finally I didn't buy it. Nevertheless, it's a really great citrus scent.
