Like BMW X5 but cheaper?
Thread: like amouage but cheaper
so i have two decants of lyric and gold, and i really like the middle eastern vibe i get from them. are there any frags that have that same type vibe but a little less expensive? :/

Vetiver The Great!!!
Your best bet would probably be to start with a list of the notes that are in it, and put little stars by the ones you know you really like.
Then get some samples of essential oil in those flavors, stick your arm out, and put dots of the different ones in a row, then rub your finger down the row so they can all interact. Some will get married and have babies, others will date for a while and decide to just be friends. Let time pass, and sniff from time to time while all that happens. Keep doing that until you go "Whoa!" and desired result is achieved.
One man's conspiracy is another man's business plan
I want (or is it need) to believe that Amouage frags wont be what they are if they could be even not-so-closely copied in cheaper scents.
edit: i read this again hours after and it sounds like the words of the niche/perfume snob that i am not
but i still maintain the point.

ointments and perfume delight the heart....
you won't find anything similar to gold, it's very distinct. Lyric men I'd say you can try some of the other synthetic Rose frags that are somewhat cheaper like dc 1913 and such.
If you like Amouage Ciel I think Avon Percieve has that same super-persistent green note and alot of similarities if I remember correctly.
Acqua di Genova Silver and Gold are worth sampling. They both reminded me of Amouage fragrances when I sampled them last year. They even share the same names but that's just coincedence and ADG Silver doesn't smell like Amouage Silver or ADG Gold Amouage Gold, but one definitely reminded me of Amouage Dia.

Not the eastern aspect, but if you like Amouage Gold for men, try Tiffany Tiffany ...

i never got a chance to sample gold..
Acteur for a "masculine" with lots of notes blended nicely, including rose, and quite high quality.
