Default Comparing the Coconut/Fig/Lime/Lemon Tropical notes

    I'm choosing between....

    Marc Jacobs for Men
Tommy Bahama Set Sail St Barts

What do you guys think? Or any other suggestions?

St Barts is a very nice tropical scent. Tequila and lime mostly with a little coconut. But, very poor longevity, and not so versatile. Haven't tried Marc Jacobs, so i can't comment there. But, if you have the money and want an excellent fig scent, I must recommend Philisykos by Diptyque. It is like heaven for the fig lover.

BTW, you smelled your name wrong.

Yeah considering St Barts because of the nice cocktail scent that it brings. Would you say that it's versatile enough to wear to let's say....summertime college?

    Thanks, will consider Philisykos.
Oh what do you mean smelled my name wrong?

MarshmAllow.. common misspelling though. :P I'm just an A-hole, don't mind me. Back to the fragrance talk though. You'll probably get load of compliments wearing it to college in the summer. Just to me, it seems more like something to wear on the beach, or on a tropical island. THAT'S how tropical it feels. That's a good thing though if that is what you desire.

Thanks for noticing hahaha, it was actually intentional. Even if I mis-spelled the red line from the spell check would pop up notifying me anyway!

Yeah the bottle design, the name, the juice just screams "Wear me to the beach".

I personally get no coconut/lime/lemon tropical notes in Marc Jacobs for Men. Plus I find it to be quite nasty.

Campos de Ibiza Higo is worth trying if you fancy fig and coconut http://www.camposdeibiza.com/uk/fragrance-fig.html

I prefer Marc Jacobs Men. Set Sail starts off better with a lime splash, but disintegrates into a poor woody note quite fast while Marc Jacobs Men preserves its pleasant green-fig accord for quite some time.

Im really not a fan of Marc Jacobs for Men.
The fig is way to strong and it smells a little feminine imo and my girls opinion.

Salvatore Ferragamo pour Homme is a classy little powdery fig scent, and its not as bright as marc jacobs.

Laguna by Dali is a nice coconut scent

I like Salvatore Ferragamo pour homme as well and think it's more masculine than Marc Jacobs. If that matters. I've been wanting to try Diptyque Philosykos for a while... I'll get around to it eventually.

I would recommend Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier - Bahiana.
