Default New Fragrance: Christian Dior Escale aux Marquises

    From nstperfume.com:

Christian Dior has added a third fragrance to the Escale collection: next month, Escale aux Marquises joins Escale à Portofino and Escale à Pondichéry. Escale aux Marquises is a fresh feminine cologne-style fragrance paying tribute to the tiare flower. Additional notes include blood orange, pink pepper, cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, ginger, clove, nutmeg, coriander, elemi, lemon peel, benzoin and vanilla.

Christian Dior Escale aux Marquises will be available in 75, 125 and 200 ml Eau de Toilette.

I cannot wait to try this one!! I hope that I like it, but truth be told, I'm going to purchase it whether I like it or not because I want all the current and future Escales in my fragrance collection.

That does sound nice -- but how "fresh" can it be, with all those dark yummy spices in it?

Has anyone smelled the other Escales? Are they good?

Both have their fans here but i think Pondichery wins in popularity. i sampled both and bought a FB of Escale a Pondichery- georgous summer scent.

Yeah, me too ... and I always wanted to marry a marquis at that + it's a Dior.

3 good reasons right there that this would be of my liking!

The combination of notes sound lovely!

I was surprised to find that I really like the combination of the cardamom with gardenia in JM's "Vintage Gardenia". I'm intrigued by the notes in the new Escale, although I do hope that the pink pepper doesn't kill it for me.

I just bought it ... it is indeed delish.
    Very faint, but still delish!

    Well worth a buy!

I smelt it at work, and it is incredibly citrusy. Almost overpowering.

I have sampled it, and initially liked it, but I disliked the sweet finish -- for a cologne. I found it too cloying. Top and middle are just right; I suspect it's the vanillic bottom which was a turn-off for me. Do love the bottles for these, though -- very elegant.

Starts off cologneish but quickly turns into something completely not cologne like.
I love cologne and this was absolutely not for me.

This scent seems to be incredibly popular these days, every house seems to be making one.
Quite a lot of scent alikes out there. I mean:
    Gaultier MaDame = victor & rolf Eau Mega = D & G L'Imperatrice = Dior Aux Marquises...

Hmmm... I would try this. Love the Portofino, haven't tried the Pondichery.

Love the Portofino, even bought a bottle at full price because I was struck by the fever. The two successors have fallen short, imo. There's something about the almond note inserted into the cologne structure of Portofino that is totally addictive.
