So, after trying the first "Vision" by Jaguar and finding it to be generally pleasant but poor in quality (read: projection/longevity), I was surprised to discover two new incarnations of it in just a years time! If my experiences in the fragrance world have taught me anything, its that flankers to bad fragrances are most often a 2nd chance to get the project right. So I gambled and bought this one blind, having heard bad things about Vision III.
To give you a quick idea, this opens with elements similar to Kenneth Cole Reation mixed with Hugo Boss XY. The coriander + fruit combo combines the aromatics of XY's mint with the Melon/Fruitiness of Reaction. The middle notes are also aromatic and woody, and it basically settles to a faintly fruit, aromatic, woody fragrance for the rest of the duration. A slight sweetness from the opening notes continues to linger.
The real story is that the projection and longevity have been brought up to par. This is not a potent fragrance but for something that smells like Reaction, it managed to last 4hrs+ on just three quick spritzes and could easily have lasted longer (I ended up hitting the gym and sweating most of it off but it was still detectable after the workout). Any thoughts on Jaguar Vision II or III?
