    Default Favorite Bang-For-The-Buck Fragrances

While there are many incredibly refined fragrances out there that may cost as much as a low-end computer, I was wondering which fragrances are your favorites under a low-end pricepoint, such as $30. Please feel free to slightly go over that budget if your favorite is a bit more.

All through my High School days I wore a cologne called Avatar by Coty. I bought this at some beauty store for a low price. I believe it's much less than $20 now. While there are probably much better "budget" fragrances available, I did enjoy wearing this daily back when I had little money to spend.

So, what are your favorites, and which do you find to be the least synthetic and most appealing to your expertly trained noses?

Pierre Cardin Pour Monsieur (or Man's Cologne on my old bottle... is it now officially "Pour Monsieur"?) is a wonderful budget scent. It always has been.

Zirh Corduroy is also an excellent one. I got mine for around 20 dollars, and it's just a great winter scent.

This type of thread comes up quite often, I always site Carven Homme as my favorite bargain. Cedar and spices, nicely balanced, good sillage and longevity. Right now it's $14.80 for 100ml at www.overstockperfume.com/carvenhometsp33.html

I like Halston Z-14. It's 95% identical to Tom Ford's Italian Cypress for 5% of the price.

Totally agree here. This one smells like it should be much more expensive.

+1 again Corduroy.. Always deserves an honorable mention in these types of threads.
Cuba Gold.. Impressive Le Male alternative
IZOD.. Invigorating aquatic with a low price tag
Nicole Miller.. Great leather based fragrance that feels far more expensive than what it costs
Banderas Spirit.. A must try fragrance. A darker version of Carlos Santana, less gourmand and more spicy, but not too spicy!
Cool Water.. Classic, timeless, versatile, compliment getter
Kanon Norwegian Wood.. At 6.99 for 3+ oz, this is a effin steal. As a sandalwood lover, it's difficult to find a natural smelling sandalwood fragrance at a low price. I just wish this could be a little less sweet, but it's still fantastic!
    Azzaro pH.. Enough said.
Halston Unbound.. Who needs AdG, this stuff is just as good and dirt cheap, but doesn't lack on quality. Longevity is an issue though, but no big deal for the price. Just wear it in the Summer to get the most out of it.
Bod Man Body Heat.. Underrated, underappreciated. Basically Rochas Man rebottled with a lower price tag. The epitome of gourmand.
Animale Animale.. 75% gourmand, 25% chypre. Hard to believe, but true. Chocolate, vanilla, some citrus, moss, light woods and an exquisite raspberry truffle accord that I can never seem to get enough of.
I'm just gonna stop here, I consider the majority of my fragrances to be a great bang for the buck.

At current prices I don't think you can beat the Bogart range, cheapsmells.com have got things like City Tower for £9.95 which is ridiculously low for what is actually a very nice fragrance which lasts ages and smells great from start to finish.

Unfortunately, it's out of stock. I used to own this and completely forgot I really liked it. I'll check ebay ...
