Default Xeryus Rouge -- Is it Too Fruity?

If you're someone who doesn't like smelling like fruity, have you tried Xeryus Rouge? And is it too sweet or fruity for you?

    Not for me.

No, but it's a bit "synthetic" for me.

I agree with Bigsly, it's quite synthetic smelling. It isn't overly sweet though, it has a good amount of spice to level out the sweetness.

No, not to sweet or fruity compared with modern standards.

I think it smell likes watermelon jolly ranchers...too fruity for me, but I don't like fruity frags at all with the exception of Kenneth Cole reaction and maybe Carlos Santana which both have an apple note
    Current Top 5:

Tabac, Cardinal, Brookes Brothers, Musc Kublai Khan, Andron

I wouldn´t describe it as directly fruity, but I certainly get jdnba´s watermelon connection. I personally dont like it because of it´s chemical abraisiveness. Even one tiny spray is overpowering for me, nevertheless it is totally unique as a fragrance.

Okay, I dabbed some on my arm about an hour ago. For me, the problem is that there isn't much "separation." This is the "chemical blob" effect I've come across in some inexpensive frags. It feels like it's going to have a powdery quality, for example, but you never get enough of that in a distinct form, and instead this potential quality is always part of the blob. Over time, the blob starts to feel like it's irritating your nose, and it just stays that way, so the situation just gets worse. I think this is for the party crowd, and not for aficionados, except to sample once so that you can have it as part of your mental database.

I don't think it's very fruity or sweet. Peppery cactus. Additionally I'd say it's rather timid. I like what I can smell but after the first blast it just seems to stay close to the skin and I don't really notice that it's there, which is a shame really, wish it was stronger, and reading the reviews, I wonder if there's something wrong with my nose. It's a new tester bottle, so the fragrance should be ok.

    No fruit.
Sweet, and synthetic, but not cheap synthetic.

    I love it.
