Default Thoughts On My New Creed EROLFA for Summer And Fall

Just bought Erolfa It really feels like a more masculine MI!
Love it. I think my new Creed Top 3 are Green Irish Tweed, Erolfa and MI.
I do really like O.V too but not worth the money

I haven't been too impressed with GIT or Himalaya, but Erolfa blew me away. I love it too.

Big fan here. Erolfa isn't just for aquatic lovers. Although the salt, algae, seaweed, and Tangerine notes are really great, and violet/cyclamen/jasmine/melon gives it just enough "wetness", it was the surprisingly different evergreen and herbal/spicy masculine side that sold me on it.

Erolfa is like a "dirty" version of MI with that elegant Ambergris drydown. I get great longevity out of Erolfa (anywhere from 5-8 hours with modest sillage)

People who wore Erolfa in the past must know how big is the change it underwent with the new reformulation. Still good but all that sea aura is gone.

the differences are not so big. The new one is a bit fresher in the top notes. The old one is "dirtier" .

I owned a bottle of it, and I must say it's nice enough, but does not do much to me. I like the ambery basenotes, but the opening and the mid phase are quite predictable. To me, it is a more subtle and elegant version of Bulgary Acqva...

I find Erolfa to be quite nasty, and think there are much better "marine" fragrances out there.

    I would suggest trying:

    Calypso Christiane Celle Marine
    Beth Terry Mare
    Laura Tonatto Oltre

You probably tried an old bottle or turned juice. Theres a lot of citrus at top and a very herbal middle to Erolfa...its far from 'nasty'. Some even think its not edgy enough..

If you like it, that's great. I find it nasty, after trying it multiple times.

Yes I like it. I have also tried all the fragrances that you have listed as alternatives, and while nice, none of them are as complex..infact, they are mostly light florals with a little salt on the side.

I am curious by what you mean by 'nasty'...nasty as in some notes turn you off, or is it too salty, or what? I dont understand 'nasty'.

I actually ended up trying this today lol, i NEVER EVER test niches since i simply wont spend that much on a fragrance...

...and for good reason. The top was actually not bad, but familiar. If anyone has tried Kirra for Men from PacSun, i found it similar, no doubt more natural, but still similar. The mid? SUCKED. smelled like lavender, and i SWEAR i smelled money of all things. The base (smelling it now...) is decent, nice sandalwood but im not a huge sandalwood fan really.

Then again i hate aquatics so my opinion is pretty irrelevant to this genre. I liked the Vetiver WAY better

I've lost interest in aquatics/marines and the likes. But, the only one I'm keen to hold on to is Erolfa.

The other (greenish) aquatic that has won me over is Arcus.
