Default Andy Tauer Site and Blog

For those interested, Andy Tauer, has a blog that he writes frequently telling about his life as a perfumer and his fragrance creations. He is currently blogging as he bikes from Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean. One of the greatest perfumers of our times? I think so.

I'm with you. I love AT fragrances. I'm still breathless when I first open the Orange Star bottle!

Yes, I am totally with you. Andy Tauer is a very talented perfumer. Frankly rather buy one of his creations than some of the exclusive new Guerlains .

Is that what his new bottles look like? the blue diamonds?

Does anyone have a pic of the LDDM bottle? I somehow was picturing a wooden container with plush and the rectangular hard cornered bottle with gold cylindrical cap...

    I think this is right:

    Old Bottle

    New Bottle

I prefer the look of the old bottle.

LDDM might be the first niche fragrance I will buy.
It never bores me and my sample is running out.

I don't like his work and don't understand what the buzz is about. It's just not for me...They are to masculine for my skin IMHO, I'm always searching for something feminine. Although, I haven't tried his new one.

Orange Star was a cop out, IMHO, both in terms of product name and execution. Let's hope Carillon Pour Un Ange is a lot better.

Blogger Nathan Branch just posted the first part of a series on Tauer and his work. It evidently includes material from a new interview, and it makes for an interesting read.

When I try to go to Andy Tauer's website www.tauerperfumes.com in order to read - I get a message: Forbidden

I know from Twitter that these are comments about the oudh industry.

Why is his blog blocked and by whom ??

    What is going on ??

Will we still be able to discuss oudh industry right here on Basenotes ??

    I'm guessing it's just a temporary glitch.

I accessed it this morning, and read his blog. I actually created a thread regarding a new fragrance he's looking to launch!
