Default Like YSL L'Homme, but SLIGHTLY less sweet & SLIGHTLY more spicy?

Despite the 'no love' here for YSL L'Homme, I actually like it alot, but its not 100% perfect... I'm looking for the descritpion, as it says it all.

Slightly more spicy and slightly less sweeness... (Not Chancel though, don't like any of the Allure's)

    Whatcha think?

Maybe Helmut Lang Cologne would fit the bill?

I really like L'Homme to and I own a big bottle of it.
For me personally, it's good as the way it is.

I am a litle surprised you find it a litle bit to sweet...
Because I don't really detect sweetness in it. This has never come up in me as it is very subdued.

When I compare it to Chergui, White Aoud, l'Air du Desert Marocain, now those are a lot sweeter.
I am also very cautious about sweetness in fragrance but I don't think that the slight ammount of sweetness should bother IMHO, especially compared with the ones I mentioned.

L'Homme to me is a safe fragrance, and a very versatile one.
It's great for the office or school, and is also excellent for a night of partying.

I am actually searching for a sweet & spicy oriental because I want something more heavy when I go out. See that's the beautiful thing about Basenotes. Your taste in fragrance will change the longer you are here.

In my opinion, it would be La Nuit de L'Homme. It's exactly what you're describing - L'Homme with less sweetness and more spice. I like both, and have bottles of both, but I wear La Nuit more.
