Default How to make One Man Show into something special.

As many of you seem to have found, One Man Show is strong and quite "old school." I decided to dilute it by about 50% with the cheapest vodka available. I let it sit for a couple of weeks, shaking it every couple of days. Today I tried it out, and the difference is incredible. It's almost like a different frag. At first, it seems really weak, but every now and then there's a waft of a great blend. And the longevity is excellent, which surprised me. The only other frag I can think of trying this with is Van Cleef & Arpels Pour Homme (I tried it with Kouros but the animalic qualities were still too much).

Bigsly, you are the man. I don't think there's a more macho fragrance out there than your One Man Vodka Show.

Big thumbs up for Bigsly I say!

Thanks for the suggestion! I will try it sometime and comment on my experience. Still, the drydown of the original is amazing, IMHO.

I'm in "One Man Show fans clup" too!! and i think it's special enough. It's not very old school when i'm thinking about Aramis(at least for me).
    However thanks for suggestion Bigsly.

How does adding vodka to One Man Show make it any better? Does it make it more transparent or something?

One Man Show was my SotD today, so the thread caught my eye.

    Why mess with perfection?
OMS is my favorite powerhouse and third in my "all times" scents list, I would not dream on altering it by any means

Try doing this if the castoreum in the base starts to get to you. The top notes, on the other hand, are easy enough to largely avoid, if you don't like them. You can also get Sybaris instead, which is better blended and not quite as strong, but very similar in every other way (no incense though).
