For tropical heat, I'd probably go for Carthusia Mediterraneo.

Try Nouveau Bowery, it's very similar but lasts longer, projects better and I prefer te scent overall as well.

Virgin Island Water is my favorite for high summer heat

I love a "summer scent" on hot weather (i can also like many on cold weather... just try using Pasha de Cartier Fraîcheur Menthe on winter):

    AA Mentafollia - Guerlain
    Eau d'Hadrian - A.Goutal
    Sequoia - Comme des Garçons
    Eau Sauvage - Dior
Lonestar Memories - Tauer (smoky leather!)
    Theorema Uomo - Fendi
    Eau de Lalique - Lalique
    Thé Vert -R&Gallet
Lily of the Valley - Yardley
    4711 - 4711/Muelhens

and a very special mention to the Hermès line which were born to be worn in the heat of the summer:
    Terre d'Hermès
    Eau de Merveilles edT
    Eau d'Orange Vert
    Un Jardin sur le Nil
    Un Jardin en Méditerranée

    Another note:
Not everything has to be citrus or light, i love to wear in the summer:
    MKK by Serge Lutens
    Musc Ravageur - Malle
    Fracas -Piguet
    Opium PH edP - YSL
    Fahrenheit - Dior
    Attrape-Coeur - Guerlain

    no, i don't have a top 1

Not exactly my favorites but the best for the purpose of this thread, which is projecting and lasting long in extreme humid conditions. I'm gonna say Banderas Blue Seduction and Black Seduction. There's something in these guys and I can't say for sure, but it may be the way the melon note in them is made. Especially in Blue Seduction. Having owned and tried my fair share of Summer frags from citrus to aquatics and everything in between, I've noticed these 2 to be beasts in the humidity. Best of all, they're not out of place on smell alone in the Summer, and they're both quite unique from the rest.

Hugo Energise. It's not my absolute favorite in my collection, but certainly the one that works best in the heat for me.

No doubt I have a huge list, since the mentioned weather is something I face with almost all year round. But, I think the one that works splendidly in the hottest and most humid of days here is Zeste Mandarine Pamplemousse. Needless to say, you would have to enjoy your citrus to like this one.

If however you want to refrain from citrus, my next vote goes to Gris Clair.

Kenneth Cole Reaction. Can't help it, I just love this in hot weather. I could wear it every day in the summer, but I force myself to switch off so that I don't burn out on it, which really isn't a hardship because there are others that I like almost as well and then I can look forward to wearing Reaction again.

    Single?

    As in only one.....booo!

If I had to choose one, It'd be Selection Verte.
If I can have two, I add Concentre D'Orange verte.

Colonia by Acqua di Parma really seems to be brought out with heat. Also Red Vetyver by Montale, seems to intensify when you sweat

I live here in Houston, TX where it is basically the tropics, so this summer I have found myself bathing in EDCs. Lately I've been carrying a bottle of 4711 to splash on and it feels good and smells great. Also, it makes me think about what is the HG of EDCs???
