Default Could a monkey design a spicy vanilla fragrance?

    Hey guys:

I just got done testing and reviewing an Avon fragrance called Black Suede Touch by Avon. It's a spicy vanilla fragrance and actually smelled half decent. I normally don't endorce Avon frags, and don't even own a single bottle right now. They usually get disposed of once I've given them a try. So, if Avon can make a spicy vanilla that smells tolerable, then I think it must be almost impossible for anyone to screw it up. I thought it might be interesting to put a monkey in a room with some fragrance oils containing things like vanilla, ginger, maybe some cashmere wood, and see what he can do. I'd bet that it would still smell great, except maybe if he overdid the ginger or something.

Let's all mail that idea to Polge please!

I like some Avon scents as well. Specifically the one you mention.

I haven't been able to find the actual nose behind Avon Black Suede Touch. Maybe that's typical of these Avon frags anyway. I wouldn't be suprised if it wasn't just an extra credit project anyway.

Givenchy Pi is still my favourite vanilla scent and I have yet to find anything that comes close to it.

But I also like a lot of Avon fragrances, especially Patrick Dempsey Unscripted and the somewhat similar Jet Homme.

I dont know if monkey can design spicy vanilla fragrance but Black Suede Touch is very good peppery vanilla. It smells natural and clean to me, unlike many other much more expensive fragrances... Seriously its only downside is... that it is just AVON (ok longetivity could be better). If it was Giorgio Armani it would be bestseller...

BTW if you take bit of pepper from Black Suede Touch, add some lollypop like sweetnes + powder, remove AVON logo, add YSL logo on it, and increase price tag by 3 you will get La Nuit De L'Homme

Disagree LOL. There are so many terrible spicy vanillas out there! It's easy to go overboard on the sweetness or the synthetics or in most cases both.....

Monkeys are very smart. Did you see the way Bubbles reacted when LaToya went to visit him after the Jacksons gave him away? He wouldn't even look at her.

So, yes I believe a monkey could make a good vanilla spice scent.

Are we talking a Spider monkey or Squirrel monkey here? Drunk or sober? It makes a difference.

I tried YSL Elle (Cresp & Polge) a few days ago.

I can guess that a monkey was also in the room..

Perhaps I should ammend this post to include that the monkey was also cleansed throughly with an enema, had his hinny well diapered and duct taped, and all residual bananas and such was left back at the cage.
