Default Fragrances in a Place of Worship

Do you wear fragrance when you go to a place of worship? If so, are there certain fragrances you wear in these holy places?

I usually just try to make sure it's something respectful to those around me, just like I would in a close work space. Three sprays max of just about anything. I sing in the choir so I also do not want to aggravate the other singers. My scent with the most "holy" feel is probably Creed Silver Mountain Water. It just has that pristine and clean presence.

Wow, ok a couple of hours ago, I was just telling another BNer that I like to use SMW when I go to church, so I don't smell too provocative. Seems I'm not alone! What coincidence.

There are many different types and places of worship. What fragrance do you wear to the strip club?

I also want to know this, Monsieur Sensual

I'm guessing something sweet and spicy, with a bit of dirt.

I sing in a choir at an Episcopal church in San Francisco that has a very liberal and largely gay crowd in attendance. I find I often wear scents marketed to women there — much more often than I do to work for example. I guess I just assume a higher level of acceptance there.

On certain occasions, I wear specific scents. For the past few years, at every Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve I've worn Caron Nuit de Noël, and in the same way for the Easter Vigil, I've been wearing Caron Parfum Sacré. It's the association of the name with the occasion in part, but also, I love both of these, and just don't wear them much, so I take advantage of the habitual occasions to wear them.

Wearing Czech & Speake's Frankincense and Myrhh with Amouges Gold combo puts me on good terms with the baby Jesus and wearing Angel men gives me brownie points with his old man. Though I have noticed the congregation stays well away from me and I usually have the aisle to myself. And I have noticed the priest is usually holding his nose if I'm in the front row. But if this is what I have to wear for my sins then so be it. So my friends where your fragrances to your place of worship and go forth and sin no more. Praise be to the Lord. Amen...............lol

Based on personal experience in some churches, this sounds like a good plan depending on the circumstances.

Messe du Minuit by Etro, which literally means "Midnight Mass". I don't go to church, but wearing this definitely evokes that imagery.

    Yes.

Fortunately it's not hard to find something that blends in with church incense (which is basically frankincense and myrrh).

Most of the Lauder stuff works quite well: Lauder for Men, Aramis, Aramis 900, Aramis Devin, Intuition for Men.

Also consider Ralph Lauren Polo or Givenchy Xeryus.

Some places ask you not to wear anything because of the possibility of allergies and so forth.
I usually just wear what I want to and not a ton of it.

It would be like any other place where I deemed it appropriate to wear a fragrance - anything within my grasp at the time.

I don't attend religious services anymore but if I did, I'd probably wear stuff like A*Men, Black XS, 1 Million, Gaultier2, Lolita Lempicka, Le Male, etc. just because I think it would be sort of interesting to do so.

The creative force responsible for all we know created all these fragrant plants that we adore, and gifted us with intelligence to emulate the naturals with processes producing synthetics.

Although I personally choose more natural, conservative fragrances, not pure malt for instance.

    Word - both posts.

Basically, it boils down to what we would wear to a place where people will be close by.

I do hardly frequent places of worship and if I do, I usually go for an unscented deodorant and/or aftershave balm- though, if there is a part of festive function organized in a place of worship (e.g. a wedding or christening in my family or my circle of friends) I am usually formally dressed, thus I wear most likely a formal fragrance

In my faith, wearing fragrances to the place of worship is much recommended for men. Thus, I don't have any problem wearing something that projects like Egoiste and CN Scent Intense as long as the scent is not offensive.

I wear anything that i feel like wearing when i go to church. But, to me, one that has a quiet, dry aura that pass me this sensation is Bois d'Encens Armani Prive. I feel that I`d also wear Black Cashmere as a woship frag.
