Ordered a 50 ml bottle of Habanita EdT. Unsmelled, but it's quite inexpensive and I really should like it. I love smoke, tobacco, powder, leather and bitter greens, and I love classic, old-school style perfumery. Exciting!

1 hour before I start work on this Saturday morning, so I decided to whip out my camera and test whether one of the bottles I got yesterday was really lead crystal.

Glass bottles of this design are pretty common, but I think the 6 " ones are not so common, and I'm hoping that the crystal versions of these(with intact labels and in perfect condition) are even less common!

Yay! I got a big ol' bottle of AG Ce Soir ou Jamais to replace my old bottle. (I've had this bottle for over 10 years, but I'm afraid that it has, indeed, "lost something".)

I used the codes for $25 off plus free shipping (to Hawaii, it's actually $5, but that is close enough to free for me, I guess) to get a 3.4 oz. bottle of the EDT. Yeah!

I'm waaaaay out of his league...:P...and even yours!

What I have is all quite commonplace, because that's all I can afford!

And don't even talk about Mr. G....lol

Dear Dom, i have that same mid-80s Mitsouko EDT. Just curious what yours smells like. Mine is very dry, with a kind of crushed-dried-leaves scent at the top. No peach. I'm wondering if mine is "off." Thanks for your feedback, Rednails

Hmmmm....Mine is very bright(or sparkly?) peach at the top. I don't get the dried leaves until at least an hour later.

    It's a dry peach skin-type blast though.

My EDT runs very close to the parfum(also '80s) in development, though obviously with reduced longevity.

    Hope that helps

Dom you could pretty much represent YSL and Opium though! Those recent Opium purchases even made ME green! I LOVE that wee spray bottle that is in relief!
Oh, and thats a fabulour little rose-stoppered bottle of Shalimar extrait too... I don't have that one yet, so your Guerlain collection is already enviable!

Haha...Opium is the ONLY YSL I have! Some YSL representative!

And I'm always open to an exchange with your Djedi :P...which will diminish my current family substantially, but...the joy of fingering the quadrilobe...

    Brilliant photos!

Being something of a novice, I haven't yet ventured onto Ebay - and all of my stuff so far is shop bought. Until now. I ordered bottles of Arpege and Violet Angel from 'Cheap Smells' and (tragedy!) when they arrived, both bottles were duff!!!

The lovely Arpege bottle was all scratched up and the Violet Angel lid was jammed! I was gutted! However, the lady in customer services was lovely and really helpful and I now have the replacements for both, which arrived (from Guernsey I think) just three days later. Aaaaaaaaah. Happy now.

The huge L'Heure Bleue bottle- is it 4.5 oz ? The shoulders are more 'sloping' so to speak . In fact it is subtly different - the inverted heart stopper is smaller - from the full L'Heure Bleue bottle of the same size, next to it. Very interesting- I wonder what year or decade it's from .
Dimitri- I love the modern green Vetiver bottle and the Habit Rouge bottle too. Great stuff. I have never seen them before so thanks for the viewing !

How I wish! It's 2 oz only unfortunately...but it certainly feels much bigger & heavier than that!

I was pleasantly surprised at the heft of it!

Yes, the empty bottle is slightly shorter than the filled one, and the heart stopper is slightly smaller like you say.

Looks like both are from the 70s, judging by the labels on the bottom & the colour of the slivers of perfume stains inside the empty one.

The vintage Guerlain bottles do fascinate me ,Domperrier. Can you imagine the heft of a 4.2 oz bottle !

DH is an angel. I bought some Carnal Flower yesterday and now DH tells me ,he secretly went online to Barney's and ordered me another 50 ml bottle ! He said he asked for gift wrap and a love message as well . I don't know what to say. I love Carnal Flower and now I have enough for a year or 3 !

I had some Ebay /evilbay wins arrive today :a 100 ml edt of Mariella Buriani 90% full-no cap and the atomizer was turned inside itself (requiring a careful use of needle nose pliers to match the sprayer and the metal sprayerbutton overlay-whatever it is called )I'm debateing whether I like this one or not .I guess time will tell.$10.50+$5.50 shipping
Also got a mostly full quarter ounce of Opium Parfum $7.50, Rive Gauche Parfum 1/8 oz about 25-30% remains $.99,and Y parfum about 1/16 of an ounce FULL!! $23.27+shipping for all three $7.70

I sure did! It's my favourite perfume house so... Why not spend when you can afford? But I'm pretty nervous of what people might think if they spot the no. 5 in my collection. lol But, it worked for me and many girls thought it was a unisex. So, what the heck! Even if one dont wear the no. 5 one got to have it in the collection anyway.
