Am I mad or does anyone else sniff the connection here? On my skin I'd go so far as to say that it's unmistakable.

Yes, Invasion Barbare = Salvador Dali PH..
..well, the drydown, anyway. The drydown of Invasion Barbare smells a LOT like the drydown of Dali PH, just less intense with the spices/leather (although the accord smells strikingly similar), and a bit more round and a tad sweeter.
I think it's the leather note, and the bit of a sulfur note I get from them both. From IB, I believe the sulfur is the remains of some natural grapefruit oil used in the opening.
I should say that the opening of IB smells nothing like Dali PH, but after about 2 hours they become more and more similar.

Which Dali Pour Homme are you talking about? The one in the lips format or the regular one? If this one is similar to the lips one, it`s a great warning to me, since that one smelled like poo on my skin...
The dark bottle with the black lips cap.
I wonder if this is just my skin? There's no way I could say this is just a fancy Le Male or anything like that - it's way spicier, woodier, and leatherier.

Where did L'Aventurier go? I know he - as a huge fan of Invasion Barbare - would have an opinion on this!
Has anyone seen or talked to him lately?

just as a side note, I am very interested in IB, how would you rate it?
