I agree with L'Occitaine Eau des Baux as well. A few others I would throw out there that seem fitting to me for the seasons:

    Burberry London
    John Varvartos Vintage
    Caron L'Anarchiste
    Lalique Encre Noire
(have not sampled it yet, but read numerous posts say that is the case)

    Terre d'Hermes

i still prefer my way! thanks for the suggestions..... will try to sample l'occitane, armani attitude .....

Burberry in my mind is assosiated with Chav's , so im still vary of buying anything chavish. will sample it none the less.

What about a really expensive fragrance? want something that is expensive but worth it, willing to spend 100 on one fragrance.... opinions on any of the creed's???

definition of Chav = informal , derogatory ( Southern English ) a young working-class person whose tastes, although sometimes expensive, are considered vulgar by some

L'instant de Guerlain! Either the original or Extreme version. I prefer the Extreme version personally.

It's a bit difficult to make a rec when your location, thus the climate, is not known. Anyhow. Perhaps try Gucci Pour Homme I & II

    My personal cold weather favorites,
although I would go easy on the trigger during your educating hours:

    MPG Santal Noble
    Creed Bois De Santal
    Caron L'Anarchiste
    L'occitane Eav Des Bavx
    Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille
    Hermes Rocabar
    Amouage Jubilation XXV
    Mugler Pure Malt
    Mugler Pure Coffee
    Bogart Pour Homme
And occasionally SMW when I want something fresh/citrusy that doesn't die in colder weather.
And rarely maybe an application of Royal Scottish Lavender/Vintage Tabarome if I'm wearing taupes or browns.

I am also currently mulling over a scent whose initial topnotes I despise, but whose lower topnotes, heart and base notes I really think I'll enjoy in colder temps when I don't want something woody........Creed's Orange Spice.

    Caron L'anarchiste
    Zirh Corduroy
    Zirh Ikon
    L'occitane Eau des Baux
    Azzaro Visit

Usually gourmand/sweet stuff could be considered, but I don't really like them.

Tom Ford Private Blends ... Tobacco Vanille would be right for the cold seasons, but you might like other scents from the line better. They are usually around 70 on Ebay in GB.

Yes! Look around for Burberry London, despite the Burberry chav association in your neck of the woods, this one is quite special.

    Some from my collection:

Zirh Corduroy (A cheapo that could be a good workhorse scent through the cold months)
    Armani Code
    Rochas Man
    Trussardi Inside Man
Ted Baker Endurance (I see you list frags in pounds. Hard to find in the States, but wonderful!)

Within the budget proposed my recommendation is easily Burberry London or London Special Edition. If it is possible to get a split from someone, Odin's 04 Petrana will also fit the bill quite nicely and can even be layered into either London fragrance for a pleasant variation.

Less citrus and freshness, more spice - although all of these rules are quite loose. Creed VIW is coconut and lime, which to my nose is incongruent when you're shivering from the damp cold. Creed BdP is all about being comforted while your exposed hands are holding an umbrella and it's 5C. Chocolate/cocoa scents seem out of place in the summer.

Acqua di Gi is my guilty pleasure. What's yours?

Amouage Opus II, definitely. Also, CdG 2 Man always works out well for me, as does the original EDP.

I'd try some marine fragrances like Kenzo Pour Homme (smells like a tropical beach), Caroline Herrera 'Chic' for men, for a little sophistication and the new Marc Jacobs 'Bang' for a delicious woody scent.
