I vote for Heeley Sel Marine: Celery stalks - fresh, healthy, low calorie and usefull as a presentable fingerfood for stylish youngsters

The senior generation will - by personal experience - take a resemblance to oysters, especially on coctail parties in composition with champagne and the competitors fishy fragrances.

    Sorry, couldn't resist.

I'd prefer Amouage Gold on my husband. But, it's a matter of individual biochemistry.

I prefer Yohji Homme. Discretion is a great quality for a gourmand, and it just smells great.

Tea for Two is a close second.

From that list, i only dislike amen, pi and back to black. I`d wear all the other, but my favorite pick would be Spiritueuse Double Vanille, that is a grown-up gourmand to me. For a low calorie gourmand, i`d choose, outside your list, Gaiac from M. Micallef.

I voted for A*Men because it is my favorite with specific gourmand qualities--the chocolate for example. It isn't my favorite on the list, which is probably Tea for Two.

I don't know what to do about the gourmand category, because, and this might be my hang up alone, I don't think that just any scent with a sweet/spice note counts as a food scent. Tea for Two is tea with some honey I think, but it isn't meant or felt to be a desert reminiscent thing.

A*Men I like because of its heavy powder and delightful tar quality balancing the chocolate.

I think Rochas Man is quite nice myself. I have a sample of Lacoste Elegance that is nice too with a bit of spice in the chocolate. I can live without the A*Men.

I chose Back to Black, but I also like L'Occitane's Eaux des Baux. Maybe I should call this "Eaux des Beaux," with my inclinations!

Honestly? How does a line-up of the best male gourmands ever not include one of the most influential and timelessly delicious scents of our time? Jean Paul Gaultier's "Le Male"? I think this notable exclusion, as well as the absence of Versace's, "The Dreamer" seriously harms the "validity" of your survey, although I laud it's existence anyhow. Thank you for throwing something like this out there.

Non of the ones from the list is really stand out above the others in term of quality. For uniqueness, I'll go with Arabie since it's gourmand in a dried fruit way instead of vanilla-y or chocolate-y like others. Musc Ravageur and Hanae Mori are the worst of the bunch since the smell make me sick

I don't see any gourmand aspect to Le Male or The Dreamer.

It's seems quite a large % of people seem to mistaken the gourmand genre with just "sweet dessert-y" type notes - when in fact any frag' with mostly any "food-y" type notes, (whether sweet or not), can/could be considered a Gourmand.

( Which is probably what "WildThingy" was humorously hinting at .... (??) )

But, I suppose some of those choices are a touch suspect as "Gourmands" gourmands ....

Yes indeed, quite correct ! ... Just the mere large dose of vanilla at the base of Le Male is hardly enough to make it a "Gourmand" (as the rest of the majority notes are not "foody" at all, as they'd need to be.) ... And The Dreamer is not a "Gourmand" AT ALL, I'm afraid.
