    Default Authenticity of "By Man"/apology

    Hi guess,
I have recently came across two bottles of "by man" by dolce and gabanna by a offhand seller in the streets of nyc. I thought I hit jackpot. I was going to swap one and keep one for myself. I did more research on it and have spoken to a few people who has this fragrance and I am sure that I was sold a fake. How do I know it is fake and how can you spot a fake?

    1) the insert in the cap is white I am 90% sure of this.
    2) If you see many bottles next to each other by some offhand seller, the serial numbers should be different and should be present on the bottom of the bottle.
    3) there sound be a plastic ring between the zebra bottle and cap.

I just wanted everyone to know, because I have fallen prey to the lure of these fake bottles. I want to apologize to everyone who wanted to swap with me, I just didn't want to screw anyone over.

    the best guys.

Welcome to basenotes bullethead! Since your new, ill take easy on you, but come on....really? If you had only stuck around I'm sure he could have sold you some nice oakleys or an authentic rolex for a steal.

In all seriousness I would never trust any type of street peddler. Keep your eyes open in here at BN, there are some really good deals to be had if you are patient.

If you bought the 3.4's those are the ones faked most often.

Interesting, I saw a 3.4 with a black insert in the cap. Does that mean it was a fake?
For those about to stink, I salute you!
