Default Which Bond No.9 is the best introduction to this niche' house?

Which one is the most popular? Is it New Haarlem? This would be nice to wear during the upcoming colder months, as I have been wearing Aventus all Summer.

I guess I'm trying to ask which Bond is the go to for compliment getting.

i'm not a big fan of New Haarlem. Smells too sweet for me. I would look into Riverside Drive or Bleecker Street

Andy Warhol Silver Factory for an "urban" scent, and Bleecker street for general wear.

I'm not a big fan of the house but I do love New Harrlem and NY for all.

Well, best introduction and biggest compliment getter are two different things. Biggest compliment getter is New Haarlem by a country mile. Best introduction, something that's a step into the water of complex, unique, and out of the mainstream juice, I'd go something like a West Side or Silver Factory. New Haarlem doesn't fit this bill since the scent isn't the most "left of center" per se. Coffee, vanilla, patchouli, while very well done in this one, are not things you can't find elsewhere.
    Splits!

My two personal favorites from the house are Chez Bond and Andy Warhol Montauk. Chez Bond, to me, is the best of the GIT/Cool Water, fresh fougere type scents. (it's reminicesnt of CW with a sweet, almost creamy drydown). This makes it work all year round in all seasons. And I've gotten quite a few compliments when wearing Chez Bond as well. As far as Montauk, it doesn't get a lot of love, but to me, it's a wonderful hot weather/ozonic scent that reminds me of being near the ocean. It has a kind of generic bergamot/berry note up top, but the magic is in the middle and drydown when the hyacinth creates a clean, ozonic ocean breeze type accord, and the driftwood, oak, and maple base mimic the smell of warm weathered boardwalk wood and hot sand.

Depends on your tastes of course. But some of the best are:

    NY Oud
    NY Amber
I Love New York for Marriage Equality
    New Haarlem
    Chez Bond
    Bleecker Street (Monatuk is similar)
    Eau de New York
Harrods Swarovski Limited - Not quite my cup of tea, but very high quality Oud.
    Seasonal favorites:

    1. Creed - Spice & Wood
    2. Creed - Aventus
    3. Dior - Vetiver
    4. by Kilian - Incense Oud
    5. Puredistance - Black
    6. by Kilian - Cruel Intentions
    7. Armani Privé - Oud Royal
    8. Brückner - Aoud 1
    9. Neela Vermeire - Trayee
    10. Creed - Royal Oud

Samples would be my recommendation . Read some of the reviews and go to store or order some online.
Bon Bon away and enjoy the search . I am not fond of new Harlem but many people are fans.
Bonds are expensive but last long and project . Happy hunting . I really like blecker street
    My current obsessions for now
Oud Wood , Noir de Noir , DHI , Mugler Cologne , Bond No.9 Bleeker St. ,
Ramone Monegal Agar Musk & Umbra , Chanel Coromondel ,

I have quite a few Bond's thanks to their refill promotions the past couple of years. To me, their most versatile fragrance is Chez Bond. It is a descendant (being nice people) of Creed's Green Irish Tweed.

For Fall/Winter, I would recommend either NY Oud, New York Amber, Silver Factory or Cooper Square.

Although it has a rather cult following here on basenotes, not a big fan of New Haarlem.

Not a fan of the house, but I really like NY Oud and would consider it bottle worthy. New Haarlem isn't bad either if you don't mind smelling like maple syrup.

New Haarlem by a country mile. It's completely unique, and will at least be different from anything else you own.

If you want something relatively safe you could try Bleecker Street, Riverside Drive, Coney Island, Silver Factory, or New Haarlem. For something more daring you could sample the Oud line from Bond. Don't blind buy Bond.

I like Chinatown a lot, but usually don't wear it in most situations, since I find it a little too feminine. But I do like it a lot, and would suggest to anyone to give it a try.

I like New Haarlem, but, yes, it does smell very strongly of pancakes and maple syrup. If you like NH, but want something a little less sweet and syrupy, try Guerlain Tonka Imperiale. But since that is not a Bond No. 9 fragrance, I guess I went a little off topic...

Tonka Imperiale smells fantastic, but sooo expensive. Even compared to a Bond.
