    Wink Tobacco in a Fragrance.

I have come to the conclusion that I am drawn into fragrances containing very strong, or mild tobacco. I wanted to ask your opinions on fragrances that are reputable for their tobacco notes or Tobacco "vibes". All opinions are greatly appreciated.

My Top 5 Fragrances Containing Tobacco:

    1. Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille
    2. Hermessence: Ambre Narguile
    3. Guerlain: L'Instant D'Guerlain
    4. Serge Lutens: Chergui
    5. Juicy Couture: Dirty English

Honerable Mentions: D & G "The One", Versace: The Dreamer

I'm interested in Serge Lutens Fumeri Turque, but havent had a chance to try it yet.
As you can tell I really enjoy those syrupy tobacco scents.

Yeah, I certainly enjoy a good tobacco frag every now and then. Dolce and Gabanna Pour Homme is a great starting point. I work with a secretary that absolutely loves it when I wear it. Michael by Michael Kors is great in colder weather as well. Not sure if I'm the biggest fan of Dreamer and haven't tried most of the ones you mentioned. I did get to sample Tobacco Vanille and liked it. Not sure how it went over with the coworkers though.

You might try Tabacca by Costamor. It's a bit feminine, with some floral and apple topnotes, but the tobacco base is awesome. The tobacco notes are almost identical to those in Kilian's Back to Black, which you ought to check out, too. I'm trying not to be enthused about Back to Black because it's so pricey, but it's really an incredible fragrance.

There's certainly a lot to choose from; from both mainstream to niche, it really comes down to which type of tobacco you're looking for. There's the tobacco leaf variety (Odori Tobacco; Miller Harris Feuilles de Tabac) , which is probably the most common, followed by tobacco flower (think i Profumi di Firenze Tabacco); or even a combination like found in Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille. Tobacco flower tends to be softer and smooth, whereas the leaf itself can be a more fragrant and distinctive/sharp, lending that "pipe tobacco" aura.

Some off the top of my head in addition to those already mentioned:

Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme (1994)
    D'Orsay Le Dandy
    Aramis Havana
    Czech & Speake Cuba
    L'Artisan L'eau du Navigateur (a personal favorite)
    Creed Tabarome (both versions)
Hilde Soliani Bell'Antonio (probably the closest to pipe tobacco I've come across)
    Serge Lutens Chergui
    By Kilian Back to Black
    Very Valentino Pour Homme
    The Bark Bites Back.

I'm a fan of Odori's Tabacco. Odori doesn't get a lot of love in here, but they make nice, if pricey, scents.

Tabacco is their best IMO. It's somewhat similar to Tobacco Vanille which I also like. But it's heavier on the tobacco and a bit lighter on the vanilla. But still a very rich feeling frag.

You might want to sample Cumming the Fragrance if you are interested in a dry, earthy cigar type of smell.

I have two that smell a lot like pipe tobacco: Roger & Gallet L'Homme Essential, and an Izod for men from around 2001. They're very similar. Not bad fragrances, but the heavy pipe tobacco smell -- honestly, I'd just smoke a pipe if I really wanted to smell like that.

+1 Habanita - the superb smell of a cigar box
Bogart Pour Homme - sweet pipe tobacco; strong and cheap

I got a sample of Tobacco Vanille, and I thought it was good, but I think my wife likes it better for her.

I think I'd like to find something with more of a tobacco smoke smell than the leaf. Would you describe that as plain "smoky" or is that something a little different?

Creed Vintage Tabaróme 1875 - the top of the foodchain of tobacco frags. Expensive but fantastic.

Good suggestions have already been made above. Another very good tobacco frag is Cuba Gold- Le Male meets pipe tobacco. I find this to be a quality frag with nice projection and serious longevity. A very cheap frag which must be one of the best value-for-money scents around. I have most of the tobacco scents already mentioned, but Cuba Gold pushes many buttons at the same time.

Another recommendation is Versace pour L'Homme (especially the original formulation).

Michael Kors for men is my favourite. Pipe-tobacco over a base of dark plum and dried fruits. Mmmm.....

+1 for Odori Tabacco, it's amazing! One of the very best.

Sonoma Scent Studio Tabac Aurea and Baldessarini Strictly Private haven't been mentioned yet.

+1 on that. Strong tobacco, modern, excellent stuff. I might also add Havana by Aramis and Versace Man. And yes, definitely try Fumerie Turque.
