I'll be traveling to South Carolina in a few days for a week of business stuff. I'd like to get out and explore in the afternoons. I know this might sound silly, but I'm having trouble picking a fragrance to bring.
When I deploy, I like to bring only one bottle. At first I thought of Gendarme/Mugler cologne, since the forecast shows 90 degree sunny weather the entire time I'm there. The problem is that I'm very much a Kouros/Black Aoud/Rive Gauche kind of guy, and I don't want to smell like Curve/college freshman (no offense intended). I could just bring my stand-by Drakkar Noir, but that seems dated.
Any SC/GA/FL basenoters want to suggest something? I don't know what's really acceptable down there- maybe Kouros is a hit, while Gendarme falls flat; Or maybe l'eau d'issey would be a safe bet. Maybe I should wear nothing.
I'm interested to see what you guys come up with.

If you are going for business, are you going to be inside the majority of the time? If so, wear whatever you want - whether it is a "heavier" fragrance or not. That is what I do.
From your wardrobe, I don't think you could ever go wrong with
Chanel pour Monsieur
Green Irish Tweed
