Going apple picking with the family today so I'll wear Brandy, what else?! Think I'll spritz DH with Kristiansand NY. I'll let our little toddler be scentless ;-)

Hello everyone! Lovethescents what a great idea to wear Brandy for apple
picking. Hope the final trimester is not too tiresome for you.

Petra Ichor which sample do you prefer? I think out of those four
I would pick Paestum Rose, although Lady Vengeance would be a close second.

I have just finished yet another session of gardening and, after my bath, I have
applied Hypnotic Poison Body Lotion and the Elixir ready to go out for a meal
    tonight.

Guerlain's Samsara Parfum. Guerlain explains the Hindu name in an advertisement stating that "Samsara is an invitation to serenity and harmony with oneself and the world", which strictly speaking is a misconception because it's in fact liberation from saṃsāra that is considered serene in Hinduism, not saṃsāra itself. That said, Samsara's symmetric arrangement and immaculate materials exude a tranquil fullness, quite baroque and true to its motto. I'm off to Paris and the guerlinade temple tomorrow!

This smells exactly as I expected it to: soapy, fresh and yet also a bit like a Febreze or hand-wipe scent. Not a bad thing, but a familiar olfactory association.

Quarry, love the pictures - especially of the daschund in the meadow. He looks as though he is smelling something sublime.

I am wearing Elements of Surprise, provided to me in a sample by the kind and lovely Ubuandibeme. This is a very nice light lemon, tea and jasmine scent, and she must have the next-to-last bottle on earth, because I can find it on only one site. Luckily my sample was generous enough that I can smell like this whenever I want for a while. Thanks, sweetie!

Wearing my samples of CDG Series 2 Red: Carnation and trying to decide if I would ever use a full bottle-- or even if I would want a decant. It's on my wish list but I'm still thinking about it. I do like it --I find it quite realistic compared to other carnations fragrances I've tried-- but carnation is anything but subtle.

Please! You may know, that I haven't been smoking since March this year,
but yesterday the urge got too bloody big, so I bought 20 cigarets, and
smoked 15 of them. A HUGE risk, I know, but I was so sick when I woke up,
which was kinda good, 'cause I can blame the smokes, because I don't
    usually get hangovers, no!
I have no desire whatsoever to smoke today, so, I guess Imma party smoker

Tearing myself away from STOOPID FaceBook games to return to my roots....

Mr. G - am SO jealous. Please sniff some vintage Ode for me.

Joy - that rapturous little pooch in the blue flowered meadow is SO aodrable.....

    Kumquat
    - thanks for helping us remember the fabulous Mr. Gruau....

Gotta report on my Gorilla Perfumes experiences:

    Interesting:
LadyBoy - quick impressions of plastic and that settle nicely into a dusky oudh-infused, rosed-up floral....or would it be a floral rose?? Love - oranges oranges oranges. Fresh and sparkly.

    Must Haves:
Tuca Tuca - ciggies and sweat. According to UBU there's jasmine in there that wasn't apparent on my dry skin. But I could pair it with Lust - a full bodied jasmine with amazing longevity. On me this is an amazing jasmine - there's no shrillness about it -it's swoony and lingering. MUST HAVE.

KUDOS to Nukapai/Pia for this project and these quirky smellies. What's interesting to me is that I think they're marketed for the 29-maybe30 set but are intelligent and mature. But what do I know!!

The SoTE is Craving by Perfume by Nature. (a sample courtesy of Miz Mimi and one of the Mystery of Musk scents!) This is yumscious. I don't usually go in for gourmand scents but might well make an exception for this. It's kind of a boozy nutella beginning (the notes from the card are ... sex, love, (don't think those two are notes but, yes, they are!) chocolate cake, hazlenut and caramel sauce, vetiver, sandalwood, incense and musk.) I totally get the sex feeling from this, as in it is an extremely sensual experience. The notes at the top have an odd hint of the incense to come but the initial impression is quite definitely a boozy caramel-chocolate cake with hazlenuts. I believe that the vetiver comes through as well, as it combines for an almost coffeelike note. (I was tempted to lick my own wrist, but decided that would be not such a good idea). Neat! (oh, and you HAVE to read Red's review of this scent!)

Anyone else finds Bois des Îles(EDT) to be a little sweet-ish at the opening?

It's starting to grow on me...

Dunno what gingerbread smells like so I can't emphatise with some reviews of this scent

It is indeed, the opening is like an Égoïste pour Femme,
but the drydown is a very male-friendly Égoïste Light!
