Default has giorgio- giorgio beverly hills been reformulated?

Hi i've been reading a lot about the giorgio for men fragrance because I always wondered about it. The notes look amazing and i plan on picking it up. I read a few places that the new version is different than the original? (after it got brought back into production)

is this true? or are both versions the same? Thanks in advance!

No change at all. Moss is synth in the new version but very accurate and sincere to the original formula.

The only difference I notice is probably from aging.

It is aggressively Eau de Dilute in my opinion. The fragrance is identical, however, it is just barely there when compared to my bottle I had in the 1980's. It was a powerful-in-your-face fragrance with brutal longevity and take 3 aspirins please. Now, it is just a distant, wafting with a gentle passing.

I may throw this bottle away for the exact opposite reason I threw my first one away: It's too weak.

    Cheers,
    Daryl J.

Everyone's skin is different but I get the same longevity from the reissued Giorgio Beverly Hills as I do from my vintage bottles.
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost

I woudn't worry about it. I bought a bottle recently and it's still a delight if you like those 80s monsters.

I purchased this last night. I like the scent. On first spray, I smell pine and spices. This lasts for about 2 minutes. It is a nice peppery woodsy pine fragrance. This does not last long.

I resprayed again, this time 2 sprays over the same area that I sprayed before, and I get a very light skin scent that is light pine and light sweetness on dry down. This lasts for about an hour.

I hoped to get something like Kouros from Giorgio Beverly Hills.

This does not sound like a description of Giorgio For Men at all. Are you sure this is Giorgio for Men?

I have the current formulation, but don't wear it much. Not that it's bad at all... there are just some others I like better. When I have worn it, the longevity seemed pretty good to me.

It is a yellow and white striped box. Georgio Bevery Hills For Men/Pour Homme. I purchased it at TJ Maxx, 48ml for $10. UPC code 19346 53631 8 Made in USA 2HA4.

It is the weakest scent I have. The first 2 minutes are a strong blast, then it fades away.

Something must have gone awry with that bottle, as Giorgio for Men is one of the most potent fragrances on the face of the planet (even the reissue). The notes also appear to be completely off as well. Weird...

I would be happy to mail my bottle of Giorgio with the box to you for free so you can compare it to juice you have. I'd like to hear your thoughts on the new juice.

This may be the newest juice. Parfum is the 3rd ingredient, after alcohol and water. Is parfum the #3 ingredient in older bottles as well?

I agree with drseid, there is something amiss with that bottle. I own a bottle of the reformulated stuff and it is fat with florals and rife with patchouli. But, as mentioned in a previous thread, I do not find a strong resemblance to Kouros regarding GBH for Men.

Very different. The original had strong, camphorous patchouli, to the point that I have had trouble wearing it. The new one has very little patchouli and is more vanillic (rather than honey-oriented). However, it is quite strong so that's not an issue. Some have claimed that there were two reformulations, and if that's the case I think I have the newer one that is stronger (as well as a couple bottles of the original). The quality of ingredients is high with the vintage whereas the more synthetic new one can get cloying and has a slight metalic quality. I think of the new one as orange/herbal tinted mossy/ambery/vanillic scent that is a bit sweet, whereas the original is rich, multi-faceted, and dynamic. As I said, however, the camphorous quality of the patchouli seems to cause physical discomfort so I'm hoping that if I can avoid it for a while I'll be able to wear it once a month or so.
