    Summer seems to have made
    one more curtain call.
Another glorious day in the sun calls
for a tart green delight such as this.

    Dancing, darting among the flowers;
tangy tomato leaves and sassy musk
leave a perky contrail of energy behind.

    Notes; blackcurrant, tomato leaves, verbena,
    fig leaves, white musk

Hey Leesee! Good to see you, gal.
I'm a house twin with you, in Andy Tauer's gorgeous Un Rose Chypree that I bought in Zurich with the lovely Potiron.

    Have a good day, all.

I am back from vacation, too, freshly showered after some camping and hiking, and ready to be my cool perfumed self. I brought with me 6 samples from DSH, all of them FB worthy, but maybe I am super excited so I decided to take a break from them.

Chanel Beige for me this quiet overcast morning.

I needed something different today. I fished around among my samples and now I'm wearing a sample of Après L'Ondée.
This is one thing samples are good for-- just to give you a break from your usual stuff.

SOTD: Laila (actually, just a bit of the lotion)

I bought this one on impulse, because the set (edp, lotion, and mini) came in the cutest blue and white bag. (I know that sounds ridiculous.) The scent itself is very strong (must apply edp very judiciously) - but the lotion is really great. Nice light texture, not sticky, and just the right amount of scent.

Happy birthday wishes to Mumsy from me, too!

Happy Birthday to Mumsy! Hope your day was extra special!

Hi Leesee, good to see you again.

I finally bought Narciso Rodriguez' For Her edt (the black bottle), so I've been wearing that all day.

    My weirdness today:
Sometime during the night I got into my perfume amoire & pulled out most, if not all, of my rose scents. I found them neatly arranged on my dresser this morning & I only vaguely recall doing it. Wasn't there something about people sleep walking or sleep driving when they took Ambien? If so, then I'm sleep perfume arranging!

    Happy Birthday Mumsy!

Today I wore Sharini Parfum Naturels' Graines de Paradis (for the second time) and it still reminds me of a (particular) Mediterranean foods store I used to frequent, and dries down to something described by a coworker as "foofoo flowery" but to my nose is still spicy and musky. This evening I'm testing (another of the Mystery of Musk scents, which GdP is, too, and this one is also courtesy of Mimi Gardenia) JoAnne Bassett's Sensual Embrace... something in the topnotes is conflicting, I think it's the ambrette because my nose is quite sensitive to that note, and it's overwhelming the topnotes. But I do get a fruitiness also in the top, and the musk settles back a bit. Would take a while to get used to this scent due to the topnotes, but it's good and quite distinctive.

    Hey y'all -

I'm in L'Arte di Gucci for the evening.

Science is not only compatible with spirituality, it is a profound source of spirituality. When we recognize our place in an immensity of light-years and in the passage of ages, when we grasp the intricacy, beauty, and subtlety of life, then that soaring feeling, that sense of elation and humility combined, is surely spiritual. ..Carl Sagan

Chanel No. 5 Eau Premier for me on this Monday that I had to work (I'm usually off on Mondays). So I wanted something smooth and soothing... This evening I have tested a sample from a MUA swap (The Pour Un Ete) one one wrist and it's overwhelmed slightly from a decant/transfer leak of Mitsouko on one finger of the same hand.... I smell confusing.

SOTE -- the newest favorite, Mahjoun by Dawn Spencer Hurwitz.

Delicious, but not foody, sweet and fresh at the same time, spicy but suitable for a girl who likes it sweet, mild, and kinda romantic

Happy Birthday, Mumsy, and want to say once again -- good to see you all again!

I'm trying the old Myrurgia mystery fragrance I bought on ebay called My de Myrurgia edt para Ella. As it turns out it smells very much like Jacomo Silences in the beginning, but it's spicier in the drydown. I find it rather masculine and not my type of thing; but it's fun to try a mystery frag. Have a good night, lovelies!
