OPI I'm not really a waitress.
BTW Does anyone have any tips on making your nail polish last longer? I use a base coat and a top coat, plus make sure the actual polish isn't applied too thick, and yet it still comes off in less than a day! It's crazy. Advice?

Make sure the nails themselves are not oily. This could be your natural oil or from hand creams. Since you said you are using a base & top coat...it was the only thing I could think off.

Lippmann Collection-Girls Just Wanna Have Fun This does not have any sparkles in it and is brighter than the Chanel #203 I've been wearing.

I took it off my fingers after an hour because I didn't like it. I'll try putting it on my toes next time; it'll probably work better. I'm pale too (and it seems to accentuate that which I love) plus I always like things much more if I can associate them with something I enjoy so I'll just keep thinking 'apples apples apples!'

I'm about to apply Essie Lilacism:

I bought Diamonds and Pearls to put over older shades and pep them up. A sheer pearl with golden shimmer.

I have Essie Fair Game on its way, metalic airforce blue with shimmer.

The polish actually reminds me of a mermaid. You build it up with layers to give it depth. The base is a sheer navy. Then there are flat, round, reflective, metalic discs of several sizes. It's unusual, beautiful & "fancy".

I have Across the Universe on my tips and It's Raining Men (classic red creme) on my toes.

That one is really pretty too!

My daughter got Happy Birthday, the multicolor glitter in a clear base. You can apply it over color or wear it alone.

But...be aware, like every glitter polish I've ever used, it's more difficult to remove.

I'm wearing OPI Silver Shatter over a black polish (Sally Hansen Black Diamond). I can't count how many people have stopped me and asked about my polish! It is quite the conversation starter. If you haven't seen it, you paint it over any color and the sliver gives a "cracked" appearance, with the base color showing through. I tried to snap a picture with my cell phone, but the color just didn't turn out ...

Ooooooh, shades! I am hunting all over for that silver shatter!

I got lucky & picked up two bottles of the China Glaze shatter in the grey (which I kept) and hot pink (which I gave to Sofie). I put the grey shatter over Deborah Lippmann's Pop Life ( a hot pink) and every single day I got numerous compliments.

This is so cool the way it looks, the way it dries & makes the shattered effect. Key is to make sure the polish under the shatter layer is completely dry.

Today I am wearing ESSIE's Turquoise & Cacos under the China Glaze grey shatter. And the compliments keep on coming!

Well Meet Me At Star Ferry by OPI. It and Essie's Fair Game arrived yesterday from a seller in the US. It goes on much lighter than in the bottle. A pretty pinkish/plum with shimmer.

I had actually been bare toed for about a week. Oh the shame. LOL

My daughter & I visited an ULTA on Sunday, we closed the place down. So much fun! They had a very small collection of Butter London but they said that they would not be restocking it. Picked up some British Racing Green, which I'd been wanting anyway.

The original intention was to find OPI shatter polish in black & silver. We found the black but not the silver. Everywhere we looked (about 6 places) they were sold out of the OPI and the China Glaze.

I am wearing ESSIE Skin Deep on my left hand & Lapis of Luxury on my right, then the OPI black shatter polish over all the nails. It's interesting, the shatter pattern on Skin Deep (pale pearlized pink) is much smaller & even than the pattern on the Lapis of Luxury (a creme). There's a significant difference in the type of pattern...just an observation.

OPI will be coming out with more shades of shatter soon.

On a nail board I read, the reviews were good for the China Glaze shatters (called "cracked") but terrible for the Sally Hansen brand.

BTW, I ordered the DL Across the Universe polish! I'm very excited to get it!
