Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

Caron for me too today - Tabac Blond.
Have a great friday everybody!
Happy Friday to you all!
Feminite Du Bois on this cool, wet day.
I just love the feel of that little purple bottle -
so smooth and perfectly formed.
A woman without perfume is like a flower without a scent.
I tried to find out what we had to wear for synchronised Friday last night, but Basenotes was down...
So I am wearing Kenzo Amour, it is very nice this cool autumn morning.

Good morning and TGIF! My SOTD is Angel Liqueur de Parfum - for Synchronized Friday (House of Thierry Mugler).

Hi all! I couldn't get to Basenotes yesterday, very sad because I was testing Tauer's Une Rose Vermeille. It's very, very fruity, but it isn't sweet; it's a green raspberry note. The rose didn't come through very strongly on me, unfortunately, so I didn't adore it. The base is gorgeous, though; vanilla, sandalwood, tonka bean, with the raspberry overlaying it. I'd cautiously rate it at 3.5 stars, but will need another test to be sure.
As there's no way I'll ever be caught in a Mugler (I'm sorry, they just don't work for me!), today I'm testing Tauer's other newbie, Eau d'Epices. I'm disappointed, frankly. Of course, it's too soon in the day to be sure, but so far it's moderately warm and spicy and ... that's it. I think it might work in warmer autumn weather when the sun's shining, and I'm sure it will sing in the summer, but when it's 12 degrees outside? No and nope. I drove by the beach this morning and the North Sea was terrifically grey and violent and unsettled; I'm kind of wishing I'd worn Sel Marin instead of Eau d'Epices' spicy warmth. Just the wrong choice, I think.
Have a good day, everybody!
Today, I'm wearing
Thought I agree with mel_lou about being caught in a TM fragrance, until yesterday (same as an AT fragrance, regretfully).
TM A*Men again.
Have a nice day and a beautiful weekend.
Beauty by Calvin Klein today.
Thanks for the welcome Jon Rodgers. My husband and son are massive Leeds fans, although missing out on the game against Blades tomorrow, much to their disappointment!
Hello, everyone! So glad to be able to access the site again!
I was unwittingly in sync a day early as I just happened to wear Thierry Mugler Innocent yesterday. Continuing to be in sync today with B*Men.
Happy Friday, all!

I'm going to sync with the best of you today & wear Muglers Angel Sunessence!
By Kilian Back to Black.

I mised Basenotes! Glad it's back.
Yesterday's scent was Highland Lilac of Rochester and today's will be more of the same note: Mary Chess White Lilac.
Mom only managed to have broth yesterday; I hope today she'll be able to take a bit more food. It's just a stomach virus but these things are hard on the elderly.

I'm joining Duc in TM Eau de Star from a sample today. In synch!
Even when there's something worthwhile buying, it's so overpriced & the competition is so intense I give up eventually.
Either that, or it's affordable modern reformulated drivel.
That day, I sniffed Miss Dior Cherie & almost died from nausea! The artificial sweetness was overpowering...
But Guerlain....ahhh...everything I smell from Guerlain so far is bewitching and mysterious....
Except perhaps Vol de Nuit, which resembles petrol too closely for my liking.
Betrayal is only a matter of time, dear lol
I'm wearing Etro Messe de Minuit today, if I feel up to it I will wear the tiniest dab of Angel tonight. They layer quite well, by the way, if you can apply Angel carefully enough not to completely wipe out MdM - it's one hell of a morbid, scary combination, but I like it.
sophi, you have the nicest photos! Hope you don't mind but I snitched it for my computer wallpaper.
Good morning everyone Still no internet access from my new place, but hopefully on monday. since I haven't been on the internet for a while I failed to notice it's Thierry Mugler day today...Instead I'm in Chergui. Yesterday was a Dzing! day.

I know today is Mugler day for Synchronized Friday. I have nothing by him, but will be at the mall today. Not an Angel fan. What should I try?
Have a great Friday, All!
Mugler Cologne is really nice! Crisp, clean musk, but still interesting and rather unique. If you like heady florientals, Alien is worth a shot, and the new one, Womanity, has been fairly well received, from what I've seen - I haven't smelled it yet.
Guerlain Terra Cotta Voile d'Ete
Thanks for the hugs.
A great weekend to everyone.
