Creed Original Vetiver this morning
Thread: SOTD: Friday 24th September 2010
I'm back in warm clouds of honey, amber and magnolia this morning - L'Instant de Guerlain, edp for the cool weather.
So sorry Duc - BN wouldn't let me in last night so I didn't know it was Mugler day. I'll be sure to play along next week!
(((pomander))) - thinking of you. You and your mom, too (((30 Roses))).
Y'all have a great day!

Science is not only compatible with spirituality, it is a profound source of spirituality. When we recognize our place in an immensity of light-years and in the passage of ages, when we grasp the intricacy, beauty, and subtlety of life, then that soaring feeling, that sense of elation and humility combined, is surely spiritual. ..Carl Sagan
Creed Original Vetiver this morning
we have seen the enemy...and he is us.-Pogo
Goodness, I missed you all yesterday!
I'm out of synch this morning, wearing this stunning Emeraude vintage pdt, which I've fallen madly in love with. But the day is young, I may get in synch yet! TGIF!
Well! Eau D'Epices turned powdery like Vetiver Dance, without the vetiver and so considerably less interesting. So it's been washed off and replaced with Parfums DelRae Coup de Foudre. If you've ever walked in a rose garden, you know this smell. Stunning!
I will not be wearing Thierry Mugler today. Angel was so bad that I haven't been able to bring myself to try anything else. Sorry!
I wore Shalimar yesterday. Today I'll be wearing Possets Perfume's Sunshine in a Bottle - California.

I can't believe how much I missed this place yesterday!
Feminite du Bois yesterday.
CdG Avignon today. Sigh. This one just transports me. Can't wait for my FB to arrive!
Mah wah hah hah hah !
My darling Ducky knows me well ! *LOL* Well, but I'm not enraged - each to their own . I * adore* Vol de Nuit
30 Roses- thinking of you . PM'd !
I am so glad to see all of you- it was a looong time for Basenotes to be down though I did managed to log in yesterday morning for a few minutes before it went up s**t creek .
This morning it's Amouage Ubar. I do think if you love Shalimar but want something drier- Ubar would do nicely.
Petty small minded people have no place in my life.
Due to the site being mostly down I didn't know about the Mugler theme today. (I don't own anything Mugler anyway, so what I am kvetching for?) In any case, today feels like a Barbara Bui day so I'm going with that. Take care, all!
Hello everyone, missed you yesterday! I don't have any Mugler scents, and actually threw away my Angel sample after 2 sprays. Yesterday was my favorite, Un Bois Vanille, and today, for this sunny day, Jo Malone Orange Blossom. My dad's in town visiting - hope you guys have a good weekend!
If Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.
I don't actually own any TM scents. Wearing Caron Parfum Sacre.

I'm cross posting from Synchronized Fridays thread:
Don't pummel me, Duc, but the house of Mugler scares me. Angel made me run away! I stopped sampling from that house at that point. But such is my devotion to the Sync Fridays that today I have procured and will test wear Alien.
Edited to add: Duc, I'm sure that ON YOU Angel smells FAB!
No Mugler for me, I'm afraid. I'm down to a just bottle of lotion after my obsession with Angel in the 90's and it's just too strong for a trip to the Doc's! I did catch a whiff of it on someone in the supermarket though! I went with a little spritz of Guerlain Après L'ondée!
Out here we are running for the wide open spaces, the road-smell after the rain.
Nobody in Alien yet? Not even Divatologist or Sunnyfunny?
Just saw it: knit_at_nite will try some tonight!

SOTD: DelRae's Coup de Foudre
I know that it's gotten mixed reviews, but I absolutely love this one!
I feel like I've missed a lot here (and I certainly missed visiting the SOTD thread yesterday)...pomander, I hope you are doing okay...30Roses, I hope your mom gets better quickly....and add my warm (and somewhat late!) welcome to the new BNers!
Yay, I'm synchronized. TM's Rose Angel for SotE.
Greetings all, I have missed you and hope all is well! I'm having a heck of a time getting onto BN in the last months, and even when I do, I often get booted before I can send messages. I read messages sometimes when I can, so I'm not totally gone
Today I'm wearing No.5 EP layered with No.5 parfum (new release). EP has really grown on me, and it gives the sultry parfum some levity for day-wearing.
I've got some Violet Angel left on my t-shirt from yesterday - does that count?
This a.m. it was a layering of:
Extract of Mysore Sandalwood by Crabtree & Evelyn + Santalum (brown juice formulation) by Profumum
The combination of these two benefits from the irresistible tonal contrasts of each fragrance. I will have to revisit this combination again in the future.
This afternoon it's:
Splash Forte by IUNX
Absynthe by Christian Lacroix.
Asha, there you are! I've been wondering about you lately... I've been having similar trouble loggin in and posting, too. Anyway, great to see you.
I didn't know it was Thierry Mugler day, but yesterday I sampled Womanity. I was pleasantly surprised.
Today I'm wearing Chanel No. 5 Eau Premiere. Almost scent twins with Asha - the lucky lady has the parfum to layer.
