Still glitchy though, clicking on "New Posts" brings up the Database Error message.

phew, I came dangerously close to leaving my computer there. Scary. (ok, I did actually check the site probably 5+ times yesterday hoping it was back online)

PS - I had an idea about the forum but forgot where to post such things...
When I hit "new posts", it'll pull up the most recently posted in threads, including ones that I just bumped to the top. Is there any way to change the search so it excludes any topic that I just posted in. I'll often come in, hit new posts, post in a bunch of them, then hit new post again and half the page are just my own... not a big deal but sort of a glitch in a way.

NEW STUFF FOR SALE - TOM FORD, Guerlain, Acqua Di Parma, Serge Lutens, Byredo, Diptyque, etc. .

Most of the time I am very proud of the Basenotes community. Time after time I have witnessed the thoughtfulness, empathy & genuine friendship that members of this community extend to others - oldtimers & newcomers alike. There are other times, however, when egos get the upper hand and civility goes out the window. My philosophy is that I won't say anything here that I would not say if you were standing in front of me. Welcome to Basenotes, each and every one of us. ~ TwoRoads

I too, not as the biblical Onan's withdrawal symptoms, but similar in pain, suffered yesterday from Basenotes withdrawal..

"Then Judah said to Onan, "Lie with your brother's wife and fulfill your duty to her as a brother-in-law to produce offspring for your brother." But Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so whenever he lay with his brother's wife, he spilled his semen on the ground to keep from producing offspring for his brother. What he did was wicked in the LORD's sight; so he put him to death also." -- Genesis 38:8-10 (NIV)
