I wore this on Valentine's Day (for no special reason though). For a first-time wear i liked it so much that i reapplied when i got home from work (unsual). Vetiver is a prominent player in this frag but it honestly cannot be categorised as a vet frag along the same vein as the heavy hitters. Creed's Original Vetiver and Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver can be described as raw and brutal compared with Noble Vetiver. If i were to compare it with any other frag, it would be the new edition Lanvin Vetiver, though NV smells much better IMO.

Sillage is "office-friendly" by Western standards, but for me i wish it were much more powerful. Longevity is quite respectable though.

Is NV groundbreaking? Certainly not. It is however a good vetiver frag "for those who do not really like vetiver" and when one wnats some vetiver but is not really in the mood for the Guerlain, MPG, F Malle kind of vetiver.

Thanks for the impressions perfaddict. Did you pick up any of the tobacco or leather, or perhaps some of the green/tea/lavender like aspects of the clary sage?

I tried this yesterday, sprayed on both arms - I agree it's a nice, relatively simple, un-harsh vetiver. Didn't get any tobacco notes?

If you're looking for a balanced, clean, for-work vetiver, you should consider this.

Have had this since December and it's a pleasant non-offensive vetiver.

Bergamot and sage (not clary sage), yes. Faint pepper. Vetiver. Tobacco in the base is very subtle. I didn't detect leather though.

I really love the newer Lanvin Vetyver-- it dries down unbelievably well on my skin. I'll have to check out the Chopard for sure.
