P/S This is NOT my thread so digress away, ppl!
Visiting this forum less often now ,as I suddenly have a larger workload, so I can focus on my earnings.
Dom, I'm a great fan of 1000. Your version looks fascinating. I don't own the juice in any vintage except for store samples, but the body lotion is fantastically fragranced and lasts all day. Mine was given to me as a gift by my favourite ex- Selfridges SA.
Linda, I shall miss you.
Not yet applied, my SotD will be

Hi everyone. In Daim Blond by Serge Lutens today. Was having my doubts about this one, but really liking it this morning.
Wishing you all an enjoyable weekend!
Good morning everyone Sotd is L'ombre dans l'eau.

Yes the opening does remind me of root beer, but the drydown
is so rich and comforting. We were promised sun and temperatures
of 22 degrees today; instead we have had wind and dullness so far.
A woman without perfume is like a flower without a scent.
a few dabs of Shalimar to start the day, will explore other loves later...
"Like a lobster with a pearl in its claw, the beet held the jasmine firmly without crushing or obscuring it. Beet lifted jasmine, the way a bullnecked partner lifts a ballerina, and the pair came on stage on citron's fluty cue. As if jasmine were a collection of beautiful paintings, beet hung it in the galleries of the nose, insured it against fire or theft, threw a party to celebrate it. Citron mailed the invitations." What I am loving right now: Shalimar vintage extrait, Chanel Bois des Iles, Chanel no. 22, Le Labo Iris 39, Guerlain Iris Ganache
Happy Saturday everyone!
My SotD is Fleur de Corail by Lolita Lempicka
With notes of Grapefruit, Bergamot, Orchid, Frangipani, Amber and Musk.
Today I am (again) twin with devilcat, this time in Daim Blond.
First time I really enjoyed this one (sample), today I find a phase of sawdust that is just going on too long for my taste.
Have a great saturday, everybody!
Did I just become Super Member by my 100 post..?
I really love to read what all You people write, but I havent really participated that much. At least thats what I thought. Its probably due to my routine to pop into the lyrics-thing at off-topic at my coffe-breaks... (cant find any embaressed emoticon here, but you get the picture).
Thanks to everyone for being so friendly and sharing inspiration and Your knowledge with me!
In Chanel Coco for the third day in a row - intoxicating!
Milou, congratulations! It's good to have you here.
I'm also in Serge Lutens - thanks to a divine perfume friend, I am testing Iris Silver Mist
Notes: iris pallida root, galbanum, cedar, sandalwood, clove, vetiver, musk, benzoin, incense, white amber
This starts out organic-smelling, rooty and vegetal. Over time it smooths out, getting powdered and becoming a more "proper" fragrance, but doesn't pick up much sweetness along the way. Its character is perfectly suited to its name, making the ethereal Hermes Hiris downright substantial and earthbound by comparison. It is a dreamy beauty -- otherworldly.
Enjoy the day, all!

Hello all. Boxeuse is my choice.
Eau de Parfum
Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

Hello everyone -
I'm in vintage Chamade this morning, pdt with a splash of edc.
Y'all have a great day!
Science is not only compatible with spirituality, it is a profound source of spirituality. When we recognize our place in an immensity of light-years and in the passage of ages, when we grasp the intricacy, beauty, and subtlety of life, then that soaring feeling, that sense of elation and humility combined, is surely spiritual. ..Carl Sagan

Rosine Roseberry today.
I bought this used-- not really remembering it from my sampling of the Rosines a few years ago-- and find it a bit too sweet, but I'm going to give it a full wearing and see how I feel about it. My daughter seems to like wearing it, though, so it may become her bottle.
L'Occitane - Vetiver
Those Lolita Lempicka bottles are adorable. I love them.
Ozwald Boateng Bespoke - Orange
Notes include rhubarb leaves, peppermint, bergamot, purple orchids, roses, lily of the valley, vetiver from Ghana, sandalwood, rosewood, heliotrope, musk, and vanilla.
I have a decant of this that Musse sent me a while back. This is one of my favorite fragrances…I hoard my little decant. I would never have known about it but for Musse because I’ve never seen anyone ever talk about it. I don’t even know if it’s still being made. It smells orangey, pepperminty, vanillic and heliotropey – cheerful and sweet. It makes me smile. There’s also a Red, but I like Orange better. Enjoy the day, all!
My, you all smell wonderful!!! I woke up with a craving for Chergui, so I'm using up the rest of my sample. And I think I'll order a bottle with my birthday gift certificates to Portland's Perfume House. Yay!
