Default Best Layering Combinations of Scents in my Wardrobe

Hey everybody... I haven't been on the board THAT long and I had a question that I really wanted to ask. I recently picked up Encre Noire and added that to my collection. While I find it rather beautiful on its own, I've read that it's a great frag to layer with other frags. I'm wondering if any of you frag-heads would be so kind as to look at my wardrobe and tell me what great combos you see that I could muster up. Whether it includes EN or not, I'd really like to know what some of you think. Thanks in advance!!

OK, I don't see your wardrobe. I only see a short-list of 5 favorites in your signature. I think EN would layer well with anything sweet or floral.

EN layers very well with Creed's Himalaya (a tip from someone on BN).

In my experience most vetiver-centric fragrances can be mixed to pull the scent in one direction or another. Sycomore with EC smooths it. Prada's Infusion de Vetiver, with its sparkling high notes of ginger and pepper, brightens EC. Even a vetiver in the same general range of EC, such as Carven's Le Vetiver EDP, gives it more depth. I consider TF Grey Vetiver to be more citrus-focused than vetiver-focused, but perhaps layering with EC could improve it in my eyes. I haven't tried that combo but it may be a way to salvage my Grey Vetiver, which I otherwise almost completely ignore.

There's a gray area of applying something new every three or four hours. It is layering, of a sort, although it avoids the clash of top notes. This staggered layering is something I do multiple times per week. It usually goes well, and sometimes surprisingly well.
