    Default Most Unique Fresh Scent?

Today I went to my side shelf for my SOTD, I went with something called Rykiel Man. This is, hands down the most unique fresh fragrance I've ever smelled. EVER. I cannot break this fragrance down. The closest I can say is that it smells like limes, soda, laundry detergent, and a little tea. It's not soapy, there's no spices, it's not oriental, but it is very green and fresh. I don't really care for it, but it is very very intriguing, in fact, I've never been so intrigued with any fragrance, ever. This must be smelled.

Usually a fresh scent is the typical, shower fresh, "so fresh & so clean" vibe. There are few fresh scents that really wow you, whether in a good way or bad. What is the most unique fresh fragrance you've ever come across, whether you loved it or hated it?

I'm testing one today that clearly fits THIS bill - Amouage Harrods Limited Edition Man EDP.
One of the stragest deep green, clean & yes fresh frags I've sampled in a while.
It's like an odd combination of Saville Row @ the top then dropping into the freshest GIT like quality you can imagine.

It doesn't sound that unique but good lord it haunt's the ish outta ME. Can't keep from going back to it.

L'eau D'issey to me is extremely unique. The smell is unique and entoxicating at times and it projects and lasts longer then any other fresh scent.

Fresh is a tough nut. It's difficult to classify. I like Claiborne Sport and find its freshness invigorating and unique. I know you are not a fan of Claiborne fragrances, but this one might surprise you. Give it a try if you have the chance.

Other than that, I find Bond No. 9 Central Park to be uniquely fresh in a greenery-type way.

Odeur 53? Smells to me like linen drying outside on a clothesline with a hint of ozone though it is something different to everyone.

I used to own a smaller bottle of Claiborne Sport, but vaguely remember it. Smelled pretty common though from what I do recall. I actually liked it too. Might have to check it out again soon to see if it's collection worthy.

Give Eau de Lierre (diptyque) a shot. Pure, natural, outdoor ivy. It's quite linear but distinct and layers very well with other scents due to it's one note direction.

I think Un Jardin Sur Le Nil has to be up there.

I would also give a shout out to GFT, which while not unique per se is one of the best of its genre.

I instantly thought of this beauty. A slightly dissonant mix of herbs, flowers, amber and oceanic notes. Edmond Roudnitska's final creation, well worth seeking out.

When I bought Bulgari AQVA, I thought it just wasn't my style of fragrance, but I kept trying and the more I wore it, the more I was intrigued by its piercing freshness. I don't wear it often because I prefer it for hot weather and I live in a cold country, but I definitely like it now and choose it when I want something not sweet or soapy-clean.

+1 for Rykiel MAN. I agree with The_Cologneist. It's fresh, it's unique, it's long lasting. For me it is a winner in this category. Hands down.
