Morning all! I'm wearing Kelly Caleche EDT over remnants of Dzing! which was my SotE. Mmmmm...

After coffee, I'm going to spend the morning testing some rarely worn scents, and some samples.

    Enjoy the day!

Update: KC on left wrist still. Caleche Fleurs de Mediterranee on right wrist: the aldehydes have calmed down and a warm leather, deep floral remains.

    Good morning everyone!

We went to a reading and book-signing by David Sedaris last night, and as he was signing my book he actually complimented me on my Coromandel after asking "Which one of you smells so great?" I must admit that even taking into account the fantastic reading before, this was the absolute highlight of my evening! Yay!

Have a great time Duc, and please give my regards to your dear mother - I have this feeling that she's an absolute saint!

I'm in Lolly-Q today, also known as "La-leek" but the very best people know better!

    Y'all have a wonderful day!

Etat Libre d'Orange Rossy De Palma is accompanying my lazy Sunday
mood. This is such a long-lasting, uplifting scent - quirky and playful too.

kewart - I almost chose Rossy de P today! It's probably my favorite geranium prominent (to my nose at least) rose fragrance. I know I don't need to tell you this, but you smell divine!

Guerlain's Arsène Lupin Dandy. Although not quite as dandy as his grandfather Jacques' Mouchoir de Monsieur, Jean-Paul Guerlain's Arsène Lupin Dandy is to be taken at face value. The main accord is cardamom-violet-labdanum, yielding a camphoric powdery balm scent that seems to descend directly from the spicy leather perfumes of the 1930s' upper-class, very dry and nonchalantly resined. Chamade pour Homme courted the same recherché Art Deco style, but Dandy is less extroverted, its balms darkly oriental and leathery. The Arsène Lupin fragrances both belong to the quiet end of the Guerlain spectrum, entirely in concordance with Jean-Paul Guerlain's dictum that "luxury is something pretty and discreet."

Juliette Has Gun Calamity Jane, for Sunday lunch at the local pub. I love opoponax and I think there's a heaping helping in here, but the iris keeps it smart and sassy.
