Do you mean the one with silver leafing? Thats the discontinued "Metallica" perfume (250ml bottle). It was launched in 1999 and withdrawn from sale the same year when the band of the same name took legal action against the perfume house.

Yeah, that cannister houses pretty much every modern Guerlain scent - its a refillable outer "shell" that refills slip inside.

You got that right! In fact, I have already started looking for the refills. And I saw quite a few. I already have Mitsouko and Shalimar in my collection, so might for Chamade.

    Designer

    Vintage

    Extras or backups

Random niche faves (cept for that Pure Malt)

I like how NarziB and S-ex look great side by side.

    TDC hideaway.

I like to think of this as the Dark SIde.

Mathew, FANTASTIC Serge Lutens collection, I'm jealous. And I've never seen someone with so many Parfumerie Generale fragrances. I have a few questions:

    1. Which MPG is that you have a back up of?
    2. What are those black boxes in the center, same picture?
    3. What are the silver tin/steel bottles in your fridge?

Hi Evoke, thanks for your kind words.

    1. Parfum d'Habit (I traded a used one away recently and am not intending to open this one just yet. I am a rash buyer. so if a great swap offer came along, I'd let it go )
    2. Those are the The Different Company's 48 Heures refils, I got a few varieties.
    3. The small metal tin contains a 48 Heures refill. The bigger ones are called The Long Trip, basically just the bigger version of 48.

I aim by xmas to get 2-3 wishlist items and do a mega trimming and cutting of my collection. I want to go compact. compressed and focused.

Edit: Thank you, remixx, I am flattered. I put a lot of time, effort and resource into this hobby, so I'm glad. :-)

You're welcome, I admire your collection, but you are right to make a cut down of it. You have way too many aqua di parma back ups You know fresh fragrances have a short life-span. But hey maybe you just use them that much! personally if I had your collection I'd be too busy with the Serge Lutens and Tom Fords

I realized it's been 7 months since I've posted in one of these - fortunately, I haven't really added much since then, but have rearranged at least. I like to do a big rearrangement now and then because some things you didn't give as much attention before are front and center and get worn much more. I didn't include any sample/decant/mini pics or anything this time - they're kind of a mess right now. I'm sure someone will mention something about all the heat and light - the lights are all LED and emit no heat and are off most of the time in the dark cabinet.

I absolutely LOVE that display. I keep some of my fragrances on glass as well. They look esquisite on glass. The LED's give off the effect that much more! I am going to do my photo shoot in a couple of weeks while I have some time off from work. Kudos!

I have a Nikon D7000 sitting downstairs but I was lazy and my Scent display is far from complete, I plan on fixing up the presentation very soon. These were just quickie shots with the iphone and I did a small panorama of my little cave just for giggles, my favorite room in the house to escape to. Panorama is a bit odd looking best I can do with autostitch and iphone in the dim rooms!
It's dark and cool and has an extra ac unit to keep it frosty in there year round, important in Vegas I guess but I like to keep it around 72F and that keeps me from running up high bills on the rest of the house. Tiny collection I know but it has a wide range that I enjoy so far and I am working on it more now.
