You're not the only one, I like them too while they last. Which is well, anything from 15 minutes to 2 hours.

Depends which one. Try Bois Du Portugal or Original Santal. Those should last 12 hours.

The sales lady at Neiman Marcus told me one spray will last all day. She said each spray is metered. I tried it at the store. I went to dinner after shopping, and I do not remember if the scent lasted all night.

Fleur de Thé Rose Bulgare is very long lasting on me-- 12 hours. However I am referring to the formulation that used to be in the green bottle; the "clear bottle" formulation may be less long lasting.

Park Avenue is a very lovely scent but it does not last as long as I would like. I would say hmm about 4 hours or so.

Why don’t we have a Creed longevity sub forum?

Maybe, but it stays real close to the skin as well.
Five that I am enjoying right now

    1) Sel de Vetiver by The Different Company
    2) Spiritueuse Double Vanille by Guerlain
    3) Bois des Iles by Chanel
    4) Devin by Aramis
    5) Coromandel by Chanel

There seem to be some in their lineup that tend to last much longer than others.

Some that last a good time on me are SMW, and OV. Getting OS soon so we'll see how that does. Erolfa and GIT are not so great. Maybe 4 from GIT and like 2 to 3 from Erolfa. Selling my Erolfa for that reason. Love the scent but jeez...a scent like that would need to last all day to make it worth it.

They don't last too long on me either. Well, at least the samples I've used.

That obviously begs the questions of, if their stuff is so high-end and expensive, why does it only last a few hours or so on most people? Shouldn't it last until I scrub it off? ;-)

Creed uses a very minimal amount of synthetic ingredients. Which is both good and bad. You're not going to get that strong alcohol layer that lots of cheaper fragrances have, but at the same time, it's that alcohol mixed with various synthetic musks that makes the smell last so long. The synthetic musk, at a chemical level, isn't a whole lot different than laundry detergent (which is some pretty strong stuff).

Since Creed and lots of other nitch/high-end fragrance makers try to stay away from those sorts of things, they can't use the tried and true ways to prolong scents using synthetic ingredients.

It's not that synthetic ingredients are a bad thing, lots of my favorites (and some fairly pricy bottles) are made from synthetics, it's just a decision that Creed made to stay away from it.

Creed is like that, very fickle

you need several wears out of a spray bottle to properly judge them, i've never gotten a good test out of a sample except for GIT and Aventus.

Ditto for me. Also Love in Black, Bois de Portugal, Spice & Wood, and Green Irish Tweed had pretty normal 6+ hour longevity for me. Original Vetiver was the must frustrating. It's my favorite Creed, but I was lucky if I got 4 hours out of it with excessive (10 + sprays) application. EROLFA and Silver Mountain Water were also fleeting. One thing about Creed though - I've noticed that long after I've stopped smelling them on myself, others still can and comment. They're mysterious fragrances in that regard.

    Spray them on your chest.

I used to think that Millesime Imperial and Silver Mountain Water had poor longevity, but once I gave them a little time and didn't overspray (overspraying can actually lead to olfactory fatigue!) I saw that they had incredible longevity.

If you doubt me, spray your chest (under your shirt) once or twice with Silver Mountain Water and check periodically. Ask people around you if they can smell your cologne. When I do this I can still get compliments from people 4 feet away from me 8 hours later. I still smell it the next day when taking a shower!
