Not much. One (Cuba) is rum, tobacco and civet, the other (Parfum d'Habit) leather, vetiver and patchouli. The only real commonality I perceive is a certain uncompromising character. They don't actually smell much alike at all.

I guess it was just the fecal opening on both that I could not get past. Civet perhaps?

I agree that both have that deep, thick, brown character. But scentwise, Cuba is fecal and indolic and to me, good for the humid and warm weather because of the tobacco. Not my favorite type of tobacco.
PD'H on the other hand is an earthy, leathery, musky type of dirty; suitable for autumn and cooler weather. Here, I get rotting undergrowth and vegetation. I have this grouped with MPG's Route du Vetiver and Iris Bleu Gris (my "Dirty Three").
Currently wearing: Zen for Men by Shiseido
