Default 4 colognes to live with for the rest of your life. Niche and Designer.

If you guys had only 4 (4 seasons) colognes to live with for the rest of your life, what would you choose and why? Here is a list of my niche and designer choices.

    Niche:

    1. Creed Green Irish Tweed - Its versitile and timeless. Smells great and people truly enjoy the smell. The drydown is amazing to me.
    2. Amouage Reflection - This would be my smell during the cooler days. Makes me feel smelling rich and delicious. sweet deliciousness.
    3. Creed Aventus - Great amazing fresh complex transitioning cologne. The opening top notes is one of my most favorite. I actually didn't like it to much when i first sampled it, but I love it now.
    4. Bond 9 Bleeker Street - My go to cologne. I go to this whenever I can't decide. Its safe and awesome.

    Designer:

1: Chanel Allure Homme Sport - All the time, any time!
    2. Joop Nightflight - Fresh, citrusly, and great! haha
    3. Bleu De Chanel - Girls love it
    4. YSL La Nuit - Makes me feel like a lady killer.
    5. Thierry Mugler Pure Malt - Gourmand deliciousness

I'm sorry in advanced. I had alot to drink today, i'm drunk..... hahahaha

    Hmmm....

Lorenzo Villoresi Acqua di Colonia, solid traditional neroli cologne
Acqua di Parma Colonia, a solid natural floral
Chanel pour Monsieur for a chypre
Mouchoir de Monsieur for a dressy type
And Hammam Bouquet for a light, classy Oriental

The more I see your posts and sig, the more I realize how much the Amouage grew on you huh ? They ARE amazing. Surprisingly i love them all but changed the order a lot among them. Jub XXV was my fav at first and is now after epic, reflection, silver, memoir and lyric (in this order) in my book. Love its drydown but struggle a bit with the fruity openinig at the moment.

Dullah, I am quite familiar with Eau d'OV by Hermes, but not at all with Concentre D'Orange Verte.

The former captivated me initially... then it turned into pleasant detergent and little else.

Should I still investigate Concentre D'Orange Verte? Thanks.

Yup, there's just something about the Amouage line (well, most of it) that I love. They aren't the most natural scents and they can be loud and brash, but there's just something truly artistic in the development and evolution of most of their scents. It's hard to articulate exactly what it is about them that I love so much.

Agreed. I think the trick, besides the amazing development they have, might be the wonderful drydown they all have. Complex, beautiful, but very conforting and peaceful if that does make sense ^^ .

Ironically, wearing - even in minute quantities, as it is my wont - various Amouage EdPs gave me headaches, allergies, and frosty stares from others, which were unmistakable in conveying their message: "Addict, you stink!".

    Oy.

Either that or it's not the Amouage that's making people stare in a frosty manner

Hey guys, thank you for the jokes, I don't mind them.

I was just conveying real life experiences, both mine and those of others.

    I hope that's allowed (-:

It's all cool Addict. I just hope you realized what I said was 100% in jest.

I'm not out to convert anyone, but on the flipside, I have a hard time not going on and on about what I love. Hope that's allowed, too!

Sooo.... effing contemplative. I'll go with these for now:

    Niche:
    Lyric Man
    Jubilation XXV
    Felanilla
    NarziB

Can I give up designer slots to expand niche slots? :-)

    Thanks:
    Silver Mountain Water
    Chergui
    Rose Poivree
    Tobacco Vanille

They maybe "niche", but they aren't the challenging over the top sort.

    Chanel Pour Monsieur
    Dior Eau Sauvage
    Guerlain Habit Rouge
    Guerlain Vetiver
    Caron Pour Un Homme

Been my top five for a long time, and I see no reason to change now. I like a lot of niche fragrances, but I can't think of five that I like as much as these.
