    Default 1 - 1.7 - 2.5 - 3.4 - 4.2 - 5 - 6.8 - etc... Wich size of bottle you like?

    Hey guys,

Wich size of bottle you prefer?

I started buying the bigger that i can, cause the price per oz is better on higher bottles.

    Ex:
    3.4 oz - 68bucks (20 bucks per oz)
    1.7 oz - 51bucks (30 bucks per oz)
    1 oz - 40 bucks

But since i get out of control and started buying 3 times more bottles that i can use in the next 5 years, then i started to prefer the medium bottles (1.7~2 oz) cause the price of a 1.7 and a 1 oz is very very close.
So this way i get minus juice, but more bottles for the same price:

(200 bucks i can get 4 bottles of 3.4 oz or 6 bottles of 1.7)

So and you, wich size you prefer?

Depends on the scent. Ones I use regularly I get the biggest bottle available (Attitude, Touch, Geranium PM). But owning lots of scents, the ones I don't use regularly I try to get the smallest size (1.0, 1.7)

i just can't handle buying anything less than 3.4 in my head i feel like i'll run out really fast and it just doesn't look as complete without being 3.4+ lol

just like you, I started out buying the biggest bottle size since it's the best deal. But later on, realizing I won't use that much juice, I buy the smallest bottle available with the minimum being 30ml or 1 ounce. That, of course unless I love the fragrance, then I'll obviously buy the biggest available.

I might reconsider buying the biggest again, to make decants and share/sell. But for now, I'll stick to 30ml or 50ml for any fragrance I don't absolutely love.

I find 2.5 is the right number for something I use occasionally but don't want to run out of. I only get the 1oz or 1.7oz of something that's really strong so I only use one or two sprays.

In most cases I just go with the 3.4 since it's more economical, leaves me room for decant swaps, and I don't have to worry about reformulations for a while.

I have so many bottles that 1.7 is ideal.

If i can decant and swap, i will return to the biggest sizes, but here at brazil are pretty hard to find other one to trade.
People here use national fragrances, O Boticario, Natura...To me its crap non laster synthetic fragrances.

I will still with 1,7oz or maybe will donwgrade to 1 oz (i only have 1 fragrance with 1oz, about 10 with 1,7 and more than 20 with 3,4 or more)

I like to expand my collection currently, so if I have to pay the regular prices for a fragrance, I'll usually take the 1.7 bottle because like OP said, the price is very close of the 1oz and I think 3.4oz is a bit too much if I have a large choice of fragrances and I don't spray a lot (but daily, though). To be honest, since I'm not a "cologne douser", I'm a bit scared my fragrances could turn bad with the years . Yeah, I can easily keep a 1.7oz bottle for a few years when using it on a regular rotation.
But I agree the perfect compromise preventing from reformulation etc. is the 2.5oz, however not the major part of fragrances have that size available.

If I like a scent that I normally keep in rotation it will be a 3.4. If it is a scent that is weak and needs strong application I will go with a 6.8 such as with Obsession.

I know, it isn't that sensible if I plan to have a big collection, but for the collector in me, 3.4 oz.

I almost always buy the 1.0, 1.7 or 2.5 oz bottle of a fragrance, unless they only offer a 3.4 oz & I really like it. The point being is that I own a lot of bottles & wear them all. I don't collect bottles of fragrances that I do not wear. So a 1.7 or 2.5 will last me 2-3years. If I owned 3.4 oz bottles of all my favorites they would probably last me 3-6 years. I don't want the juice to go bad.

I always try and buy the largest atomizer in the range. As I am only at the beginning of my fragrance adventure this may well change as my collection grows.

I like the 3.4oz, I will never use it all but with decant swapping it really don't matter to me.

3.4 - 4.2 Best bang for the buck that'll actually finish / share / swap / or can sell when there's 50% left.

2.5oz - 3.4oz seems sensible for my collection size (i.e. 20 max). I'd only get more if the fragrance wasn't particularly strong (thus requiring more spritzes per application), discontinued or very hard-to-find.

2.5oz is perfect! 50ml is a bit small and 100ml is a bit big, so 75ml is fandiddles! 100ml or 125ml if it's a light fragrance like Creed's MI.

My ideal is 3.4. Have many 4.2. Only would consider 2.5 if a particular line I collect comes out with a new fragrance that only comes in that size. I never buy 1.7.

    3.4oz/100ml for me.

Les exclusifs is an exception for me. They're just fine as 6.8oz

It really depends on the fragrance. But there are times when I am not given a choice. Gris Clair only comes in 50ml sizes.

I tend to buy larger bottles (100ml/3.3oz), but for some, a smaller size ( 30ml/1.0oz) is perfectly fine. It is a tough call, as my taste changes.
Seeking: Bottles/decants : of Midnight in Paris EDP, Aramis New West, Alain Delon Iquitos, Feeling Man, Gucci pour Homme, Essence of John Galliano, Oxford & Cambridge, Azzaro pour Homme (vintage),...etc.

Seeking decant/sample of PdE Ambre Russe, Jil Sander Feeling Man, Comme des Garcons 2 Man, Giorgio VIP, ....etc. I have samples to swap.

Depends on the bottle. For instance, I could never imagine having a 4.2 oz of Joop, so I stuck with the 1 oz. Something that's lighter and requires more sprays would thus require a larger bottle, something like a Tommy Bahama or a John Varvatos frag.
