How are Body Kouros and Kouros related to one another?
Other than their names....
I mean I have both and the two smell completely different from one another.

They seem to share the Tonka in the base. Other than that, I dont get a whole lot of similarity.
I also don't get the love of body kouros around here. It is pleasant, but a bit too sweet for me. I bought it blindly after reading the incessant praise around here, and I am just glad it only cost 20 bucks.

I can see the powdery tonka base similarity now. But it doesn't last that long in BK.
I think BK is a little overhyped. But of that whole genre (Le Male, Dreamer, Rochas, 1Million) BK is probably my favorite. Its the classiest and most unique IMO.

I would definitely agree with that. Although sometimes the Dreamer intrigues me. Synthetically syrupy one day, and sometimes it is captivating. BK seems to be the safest of those you listed.Originally Posted by Pappy

seriously, they are from different families. kouros is a aromatic fougere, body kouros is a woody oriental.
body kouros is very much related to lolita lempicka and yohji homme, and not very much to the original kouros.
