If you really want to shop Hermes, their Ambre Narguile is sweet as apple pie and rates very highly.
Thread: Which gourmand for my Mom?
I would like to buy my mom a new gourmand fragrance. I was initially thinking of getting her something from Hermés (I really like their presentation), but I don't know of any gourmands from this house?
My mom is:
-59, nearly 60
-has owned a number of 'orientals' in the past but seems to mostly enjoy gourmands these days
-doesn't like strong florals
-currently uses Chanel's Coco, Gaultier2, YSL's Cinema and Marc Jacob's Daisy
She rates them:
4.Daisy (she doesn't really like this one so much)
She has recently enjoyed sampling Creed VIW, D&G The One and Chanel No.5, so I could get one of those. But I'm looking for other ideas.
Your time, thoughts and suggestions are much appreciated...

Take care with opium, the new reformulation is thousand miles below the vintage!
The Hypnotic Poison recommendation is a good one too, it's a new love of mine.
Jasmin Imperatrice Eugenie, Vanisia, (both are by Creed, I find Vanisia very close to Coco). Addict, Loulou, Trouble.
My mum likes similar perfumes to yours (adores Coco) and one of her favourites is Kenzo Jungle L'Elephant. It's a bit of a weird scent and many people don't like it. But give it a try, you never know.
Adding Kenzo Amour. Lovely gourmand, a bit like Elephant, but much more subtle and wearable. Not that Elephant isn't wearable, but it's not what I would choose to wear often.
Organza Indecence is sort of gourmand - an vanilla custard with cinnamon, tonka, woods
Parfum Sacre - mace, rose, incense, it's spicey but has a creamy base that has a bit of a gourmand feel on my skin
+1 for the Organza Indecence, it's wonderful and you can buy it online at Macy's.
I agree on all the above suggestions, although I just recently tested Hypnotic Poison and found the almond note to really bother me. As an aside, I have on L de Lolita Lempicka right now from a sample. I was testing it with a gift for my 16 yo niece in mind, as I can purchase it rather cheaply through TJ Maxx currently. To my surprise, I am finding it possibly too mature for a 16 yo, with a heavy dose of musk. In fact, I am really liking this! It is salty enough to offset the sweetish vanilla, with wonderful spices (I'm a nut for cinnamon), and rather sexy in a gourmand fashion. who knows, maybe your mother would like it!
Ambre Narguille is wonderful, and I can hardly imagine anyone that likes gourmands to not like this one. It is a fave of mine as well.
Ambre Narguile is, indeed, very nice.
Because you asked about Hermes, how about Elixir Des Merveilles? It is available everywhere, it is also ambery, and although it is not as sweet as Ambre Narguile, it still contains some sweet notes and intriguing depth.
