L'Occitane Eau des Baux and Geir
CK Eternity. The one that Off-Scenter hilariously described as follows:
"Eternity is as close to “generic” a men’s fragrance as I’ve smelled in a while. The composition is so bland, so faceless, that I’m not sure I can describe it in terms of notes and ingredients. Etermity’s top notes are a vague, undifferentiated citrus (dihydromyrcenal?) and Calone, as blatantly chemical as any store brand shower gel, and its core smells like the lowest common denominator of every stereotypical “fresh” fruity-aquatic fougère since Cool Water. Ideally, any scent so little distinguished from its peers in terms of composition should exhibit outstanding quality to justify purchase. Eternity for Men does nothing of the sort. It’s not only trite, but shoddy to boot. Not worth another line of text."
But women love it! This is the thing, you can review and grade perfumes according to top notes, middle notes, dry down, whatever. But people don't think about that when they smell it on another person. I couldn't care less about all that academic hoo hah, if it smells appealing, then it smells appealing (now, of course, there ARE better perfumes than Eternity!)
Not very well known around here, but you guys should really check it out.
"...call on God, but row away from the rocks..."
Thanks mate! I just will do that! I hear Pure Coffee is rather good too.
I own a 3.4 Pure Coffee and a few Pure Malt Samples. The Pure Malt gets more compliments, if that's what you're looking for.
Everyone is somebody's weirdo.
Paris Hilton For Men, this thing is a huge compliment getter for me. Not one if my favorites but probably one of the biggest compliment getters for me.
Givenchy Gentleman is probably my #1 compliment getter. (I don't know how "under the radar" it is, though.
When I used to wear it more often. Aqua di Gio always got plenty of compliments and still does as far as I know. It's funny how enlightenment makes the individual feel elevated by newer, obscure and better and all the usual stuff you hear on BN, but plain and simple and nonpretentious Aqua di Gio works....(ohhh those ignorant masses):-)
Your nostrils, which will dilate immesurably in unspeakable contentment, in motionless ecstasy, will ask nothing better for space, for they will be full of fragrance, as if perfumes and incense; for they will be glutted with complete happiness, like angels who dwell in the peace and magnificence of pleasent heaven.

Aseel Attar by Al-Rehab
a lady at work told me she was hypnotized by it
I wore Montale White Aoud the next day and he said the Aseel smelled much better
Off-Site Decants =) (updated 05/16/12)
I get a ton of compliments with dunhill desire which not too many people own but my number one compliment getter is Bulgari Aqua which is more known and owned but still not too many people have it
Cerruti PH, Azzaro Silver Black, Boss in motion Black. These get me compliments quite a bit, especially Cerruti and Azzaro SB.
Under radar would be Allure Sport.
Looking to purchase - Aventus any size or participate in a split
Allure by Chanel.
MdD by Guerlain
The only thing that interferes with my learning is my education.
Its not exactly compliment getter but yesterday before I went to gym I sprayed myself with some Old Spice Deodorant which I want to use quick and my mother commented how nice it smells. Lol.. She hardly comments on anything I wear.

Over the past few months it's been Horizon by Guy Laroche.
Some people will compliment you on ANYTHING provided it is not body odour.
Btw. I see you two mentioning Givenchy PH, I love that one, it shares the vibe with Boss in motion black but Boss in motion black is sharper, stronger.
I have to add Azzaro Chrome to my compliment list, I don't see it being highly praised here, I'm not saying it deserves that, but it gets noticed quite.
I think Davidoff Adventure deserves a mention. I saw this at TJ Maxx for about 10 dollars.
I got a compliment on the new Fahrenheit A., that hasn't happened in a while.
I always get compliments whenever i wear the "regular" Fahrenheit (both vintage and reformulation).
Dunhill (brown bottle): Excellent for getting compliment
Swiss Army Altitude, and Original.
Mandarina Duck Pure Black. One of the best blind buy ever.
Aside from this one, my "under the radar" ones that get complimented on pretty much whenever I wear them are:
1) Enigma - Karen Low
2) Black Walnut - Banana Republic
3) 212 Men H20
4) Ferrari Black
And a few girls in college a couple of years back stayed glued to my Dunhill Desire Blue bottle...a BIT too sweet IMO..but if you saw the way they surrounded and sniffed that bottle, you would've thought they were bloodhounds...
I smell better than you.
I wear lots of different things always for myself and not for compliments. BUT, I consistently get comments from strangers whenever I wear these fragrances. I don't know how under the radar they are, but they are nice to smell.
Creed Erolfa (the '98 vintage) - it is worth pointing out that the earlier vintages of Erolfa are a completely different scent due to the intensity of ingredients being used back then.
Le Labo Rose 31
Bond No. 9 Harrod's Limited Ed. (Same as Swarovski bottle Oud)
Aqua di Gio *yawn* But it always does the trick!
I do also get compliments for Elixir des Merveilles, in a sort of "gosh, you smell so interesting!" way, which I love.

I get lots of compliments when I wear Michael Jordan's original fragrance. It is an average cologne to me, but women seem to love it.

Nautica Voyage always does the trick especially in the summer
Not totally a cologne but it's the old Bath and body works Woodlands daily refresher more like a body spray in a dark cobalt blue spray bottle. I had 2 and 3/4 bottles left of it and it probably has a 75% success rate on getting compliments. Lasts 5-6 hours easy on clothes, doesn't change a whole bunch but it sure is a wonderful smell. Never did have the cologne or anything else but love the refresher.

Le Labo Rose 31 - it's a boxer dropper.

Two that come to mind are Polo Black and Lanvin Arpege Pour Homme. I don't care for them really, but they worked on me.
One that my wife and I are enjoying these days is Varvatos Vintage. It's been a while since something clicked this way for me (probably since TDH). I can see wearing this one through next March. It's probably a little too sweet and "liquory" for the warmer months, but I have plenty of scents for those times. We have short winters in the south!
A local cheapo: Tabac Beige de Wels. It is a Zino knock off that those complimenting me unmistakeably confuse with Guerlain's Heritage.
For those about to stink, I salute you!
I reply to a lot of threads on this board with this answer: Tuscany!
Brooks Brothers (Original). When I owned it I had people asking me daily what I was wearing.

Drakkar Noir. It gets looked down upon by the fragrance snobs, but women absolutely LOVE this scent.
