Default Question for those who own Brooks Brothers New York

I have read some sporadic opinions on this fairly recent release. This scent sounds like it has potential, but I'm not completely convinced.....yet.

The bottle itself looks awesome and the box isn't too shabby either.

Just how good is the juice? Is it comparable to anything out there for reference? Thanks in advance.

It didn't really do anything for me.

Is it worth $24 shipped for a 30ml. NIB?

definitely! it is a solid lemon scent that lasts far longer than most I own. Chandler Burr described it like a Lexus-- it isn't the sexiest thing out there, but it does what it does incredibly well.

IMO, no. I would spend the money on something better - which many other fragrances are.

I think it's worth it. Gets compliments. Smells similar to the original Lacoste for men (white and green). However, it strikes me as a spring and summer scent.

    ouch!

I don't think it is groundbreaking, nor one to redefine the citrus genre, but it does work far better than most lemon scents in getting the job done-- to smell good, without challenge, for a reasonably long period of time.

Despite my fondness and undying love for scents that I would consider 'hardcore' I would say there's a place for the Brooks Brothers. Especially at $24. I do have to sit in on meetings with some boring suits, and during such I think that if I were redolent of civet, it would be a less than auspicious interaction.

Thank you fellaz. I think I'll pop for it. If it's remotely similar to original Lacoste, I'll like it.

Is the juice worth the squeeze?

I offered the ebay seller $18.95 shipped for 30ml NIB and they accepted. I have so many scents that are polarizing or strong that I enjoy adding something that smells good without controversy. It balances out my drobe.

The worst that can happen is that I spent $18.95 for a terrific looking bottle to go in my collection.

This scent has won Russian Fifi-2010, so I also wonder why?

I haven't had many experiences with lemon scents other than this one, but this is definitely a winner. The key here is that it doesn't overdo anything. True, it may seem underwhelming initially - I, too, must admit that I wasn't very impressed by my first sniff - but over time you will begin to detect something that is unarguably pleasant and enjoyable (and thats because the sillage will find its way from your wrist to your nose). And as others have said, you'd be hard pressed to find a modern, lemon scent (think aromatic not Clinique Happy) that lasts longer than this one. I get 8-10hrs without fail and often even more. Definitely worth $24 for a 30ml, and you would have been INSANE not to try it for $18.95. Good decision AromiErotici!

That $18.95 could have bought you some good TastyKakes - which I think you would enjoy more.

If Ron Burgundy were to light a fire in his fireplace amongst his many leather-bound books, while sipping a lynchburg lemonade, his condo would smell like Brooks Brothers. Kind of a big deal... For $24.

I received my 30ml bottle today. The bottle itself is nice and heavy and I have always liked cut bottles. The juice is very comfortable with better than expected longevity. This is a slightly aromatic citric woody that leans conservative. I admit to liking this already as a comfort scent.
