Default Officially my first Guerlain :)

Well I bit the billet and got myself my very first Guerlain and first niche, What other scent from this house I should look into testing and maybe getting?

    Spiritueuse Double Vanille?
    Tonka Imperiale?

I can't wait to get mine in hand, is it considered niche though?

    Congratulations: good choice!
In fact you can try all the Guerlain(which I would not consider a 'niche' house) masculines and a couple of 'feminines'; most of them are well blended quality scents.

Great choice so far, I could also easily imagine Spiritueuse Double Vanille as an appropriate, rewarding additional choice

I would next try habit Rouge (EDT and EDP) and Derby.

I'd definitely test it first, given the price, but Spiriteuse Double Vanille is my favorite vanilla scent, and lasts forever. Some say it's too powdery or feminine for their tastes.

    In the expensive side:
Derby, Arsene Lupin, Bois d'Armenie, Tonka Imperiale, Sous le Vent.

I second Arsene Lupin. It is of the calibre of Spiritueuse Double Vanille, has the famous guerlinade base that is the DNA of this house, and is easy to enjoy.

Try L'nstant de Guerlain Extreme, it is priced reasonable, great for the winter, and the cocoa is quite nice. Double Vanille is nice, if you like vanilla extract, sample first, it is expensive, and very linear to me.

I sampled Tonka Imperial and found it too hard to wear. It smells nice, but very feminine in my opinion.

There are so many good ones from this house. Derby is a standout IMO.

Welcome to to the vanilla fragranced slippery slope that is Guerlain.

It took me a while to get into this house but so many of their fragrances really do get better and better as you live with them and they keep on rewarding you.

Thanks everyone. I'm in love with this fragrance and it's only my first day wearing it. It's absolutaly amazing. I love the notes. The vanilla that I smell is awesome. I sprayed once on the chest, twice on the neck and once on each arm. Suddenly I was taken to a wonderfull magical place. It feels like I'm drunk on this scent lol :P

I've yet to try one Guerlain masculine I didn't like, to be completely honest. There are several feminines I don't really love though, like Chamade and Samsara.

I love them all, but Heritage, Habit Rouge, and Mouchoir de Monsieur really make me melt.

They do the Guerlain vanilla thing the best. Mouchoir de Monsieur and Heritage have full-blown guerlinade and are positively unashamed about it.
