Default What is your wardrobe/collection worth ?

I have to say that that last month I have spent some cash on finding that perfect scent. Granted I am new at this I do not see myself stopping anytime soon and can only imagine some collectors. In December I bought or was given 10 bottles and have one coming (because that is what I asked for for the season) but have never owned more in my entire life with about 40 of 100 samples on the way. Its been the perfect give and take hobby this season for us and looking forward to what 2011 brings. I was simply curious how far others take this hobby. Ive seen your wardrobes

Impossible to determine but a lot I imagine with 1074 full bottles to date and 98% of them being 100ml or greater.

Not as much as many in here, but more than I had imagined I'd ever spend on fragrances. It's not something I brag about in public though.
Your nostrils, which will dilate immesurably in unspeakable contentment, in motionless ecstasy, will ask nothing better for space, for they will be full of fragrance, as if perfumes and incense; for they will be glutted with complete happiness, like angels who dwell in the peace and magnificence of pleasent heaven.

I hope we see some answers here, I'm super interested on this too... looking at the "post pictures of your scents" there's some incredibly big collections.

Should tally the replies up and see how close to the national debt we are.

Myself, approx $1,200.00... about $1000.00 more than I ever ought to have spent.

A few hundreds (euros, dollars or pounds), if I consider the rampant loss of value due to rapid consumption and other such variables

A few (though not too many) thousand, if I summarize the equivalent of all purchase prices payed by me over the years in order to steadily put together my current collection

What JickyMan said. Although it's out of embarrassment that I don't mention estimates of bottle count or $$$ spent. Quite excessive arguably and outside of 'this community' nobody understands. Nor do I have much interest in selling an understanding, so I keep it to myself as much as possible. Hehe... back alley deals, swiss bank accounts (ok, maybe not swiss), cold/dark dresser drawers busting at the joints. What are those lyrics to Radiohead's "Subterranean Homesick Alien"?... oh yeah:
I'd tell all my friends but they'd never believe me,
They'd think that I'd finally lost it completely.
I'd show them the stars and the meaning of life.
    They'd shut me away.
    But I'd be alright, alright,
    I'd be alright,
    I'm alright

To many not much, but to me they are worth a lifetime of enjoyment which can not be measured in monetary terms.

Probably quite a lot, I've somewhere around 200 bottles and averaging it out to say £30.00 per bottle taking into account smaller or lesser value fragrances at one end and rare or niche at the top end, even that would work out at a collection worth £6,000 or $9,300 based on today's exchange rates.

Probably about $1,800 worth of scents, but I got many on sale for some steep discounts (saving over $110 on a brand new bottle, not from ebay, on occasion, and 20% off or more on Amouages, etc.)
    ***For sale:

    Iris Pallida 50ml

    Ungaro I 75ml

    and more!

I am 15 almost 16, I don't think I will ever have or want a super big collection, just the ones that I think are really good to me.

Religious or not, it applies well here. :-) Then, after reading it, ask if your fragrance wardrobe is an investment and therefore profitable and of tremendous value.

I'd prefer not to think about it. I'm sure it's in the several tens of thousands of dollars range.

I prefer not to take the depressing step of actually calculating.

My guesstimation 20K - 25K USD. Could be more.
