Thread: Thoughts on Bulgari Aqua Marine
I just got a sample of this one. I found the first one to be really unique and interesting, so I figured that this one would be quite nice as well. However, my impression is that this is not nearly as profound as the original. It smells nice enough, but to me, it lacks the uniqueness of the original. I get the grapefruit with this slightly perfumy background. I think this is more a copy of Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue than a worthy flanker to the classic smell of Aqua. So, I'll certainly enjoy my sample, but can't see anyone with a modest collection of aquatics being to excited about this one.
I try not to think about it.

Don't like it at all.
Don't like it either. It's a lame fruity aquatic that pales in comparison to the original Bulgari Aqua.

PM me if you have bottles that you're willing to sell or trade!
Liked it at first, still wondering why...
Great works are performed, not by strength, but by perseverance.
I prefer the first Aqva. Aqva marine is sour and salty. Don't see myself buying any of these two. Not because they're aquatics. Just don't like 'em.
We're all in the same game; just different levels. Dealing with the same hell; just different devils.

I didn't get the original, and I didn't like the Marine version.
But I keep wondering if I was too hasty in not buying it when I could for $20. I have a history of growing to like scents with oddish notes like Aqua Marine has to my nose.
I prefer the original Aqua, the marine version is calone, calone and more calone...
to my nose , regular Aqua deviates little from the original Bvlgari pour homme tone, so, that´s why I find it more enjoyable the Aqva Marine who at least in those tones is more aromatic.IMHO
my current top five (always in transition)
Dior Eau Noire

eau de gloire parfum d'empire
Dia man Amouage

I have both and I only like the original. Marine almost instantly makes me sick to my stomach for some reason. Maybe it's just really sour notes that put me off. I do however keep it in my work office and occasionally do one small spray in the room. That seems to work OK without being overwhelming or making me sick.
It's a synthetic mess, although it's not all that bad during very hot summer days...non the less, it's lame.
Original Aqua is the real deal.
Honestly I have owned both and I prefer Aqva Marine. The original is nice and a different twist on aquatics but I'm not buying this one for them to smell different. In the heat Aqva Marine gets sweet and fresh smelling but Aqva gets sour(the sea salt). At least on my skin which is why I only own Aqva Marine now(plus many more women I had smell the two before I reviewed them preferred it also).

I just edited my Neutral review on this one to a Thumbs-down. Try as I could I just couldn't appreciate that drydown. It just smelled like a monotone synthetic chemical. Awful.
It's OK for a little airfreshener from time to time.
