Default Thoughts on Bulgari Aqua Marine

    Hey Guys:

I just got a sample of this one. I found the first one to be really unique and interesting, so I figured that this one would be quite nice as well. However, my impression is that this is not nearly as profound as the original. It smells nice enough, but to me, it lacks the uniqueness of the original. I get the grapefruit with this slightly perfumy background. I think this is more a copy of Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue than a worthy flanker to the classic smell of Aqua. So, I'll certainly enjoy my sample, but can't see anyone with a modest collection of aquatics being to excited about this one.

Don't like it either. It's a lame fruity aquatic that pales in comparison to the original Bulgari Aqua.

I prefer the first Aqva. Aqva marine is sour and salty. Don't see myself buying any of these two. Not because they're aquatics. Just don't like 'em.

I didn't get the original, and I didn't like the Marine version.

But I keep wondering if I was too hasty in not buying it when I could for $20. I have a history of growing to like scents with oddish notes like Aqua Marine has to my nose.
    Cheers,

Hi Brad , I like it and more than the original. I don´t find similar to Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue at all .
to my nose , regular Aqua deviates little from the original Bvlgari pour homme tone, so, that´s why I find it more enjoyable the Aqva Marine who at least in those tones is more aromatic.IMHO

I have both and I only like the original. Marine almost instantly makes me sick to my stomach for some reason. Maybe it's just really sour notes that put me off. I do however keep it in my work office and occasionally do one small spray in the room. That seems to work OK without being overwhelming or making me sick.

It's a synthetic mess, although it's not all that bad during very hot summer days...non the less, it's lame.

Original Aqua is the real deal.

Honestly I have owned both and I prefer Aqva Marine. The original is nice and a different twist on aquatics but I'm not buying this one for them to smell different. In the heat Aqva Marine gets sweet and fresh smelling but Aqva gets sour(the sea salt). At least on my skin which is why I only own Aqva Marine now(plus many more women I had smell the two before I reviewed them preferred it also).

I watched your video comparing the two. I can see owning samples or minis of both, but not really sure if either is full size bottle worthy. The original is something that I may wear once or twice a year for the twist on the genre. The marine flanker is certainly more of a crowdpleaser scent, which probably explains why it got really mediocre reviews overall here. But I'd like to review this scent soon, even though the middle of January doesn't really do this one justice. I'm actually a bit suprised that no Youtube reviewers seems to mention the floral aspect of Marine. That will change soon however

I just edited my Neutral review on this one to a Thumbs-down. Try as I could I just couldn't appreciate that drydown. It just smelled like a monotone synthetic chemical. Awful.
It's OK for a little airfreshener from time to time.
