Default To trade or not to trade, that is the question.

Hello Basenote buddies I have a small little dilema, I have an opportunity to swap my Farenheit Absolute for a bottle of La Nuit De L'Homme parfum, the La Nuit would be a blind swap would anyone take this blind swap?

just my 2 cents... I think it's alright. If the Fahrenheit isn't something you like, then it doesn't have much value, and I think La Nuit has generally had a pretty good reception.

Most of the time I am very proud of the Basenotes community. Time after time I have witnessed the thoughtfulness, empathy & genuine friendship that members of this community extend to others - oldtimers & newcomers alike. There are other times, however, when egos get the upper hand and civility goes out the window. My philosophy is that I won't say anything here that I would not say if you were standing in front of me. Welcome to Basenotes, each and every one of us. ~ TwoRoads

I just got my bottle of Le Parfum and have not had enough time with it yet. Longevity is there, and it is a very nice scent. However Fahrenheit Absolute is one of my favorite dark fragrances and consider it one of my hidden gems. Have you tried the EDT of La Nuit? If you have, then it would come down to what scent you like better.

In my opinion, I would not give up Absolute for it. I would just purchase a small bottle of Le Parfum from Fragrancenet.

Man thank you guys for responding! I have a fellow Basenoter who would like to trade his La Nuit De L'Homme Parfum I just don't want to trade down. Good thing about this Basenoter is that he has been very honest about longevity and sillage of this PARFUM

I like both. In my opinion you are getting the better deal, but the main thing is you are both happy. Enjoy !

    Sample it first: http://fragrancevials.com/la-nuit-de-l39homme-vi39.html

On my skin and in the winter season, La Nuit EDP sticks close to the skin. So, I think it is more suitable for the warmer (at least 70 F) weather.

I don't mind giving up a little value. It's often the case that the situation reverses itself and what was the less expensive one becomes the more expensive one. However, with anything of "serious" value, I tend to sell rather than swap. If you don't know what you're getting, I would suggest a sample swap first with this person. It only costs about $1 for shipping.
